Bias is Bias no matter what the case, whether it be against gender, race, sexual orientation or religion. Usually its against things not understood. There in lies the problem - - ignorance and narrow-mindedness. People are different. Just think how boring the world (or the US) would be if everyone was didn't accept things they didn't understand. You don't understand how all the parts in your car work together, but that never stopped you from driving one.

What Tim Hardaway is really saying is that he'd like an 8' dildo put in his ass-- he just can't bring himself to say it any other way. Unbelievable piece of errant DNA. I'm still working to find Nicole's killer and get this damn glove on...... son of a bitch it's tight....

I hate black people too. I would absolutely hate to have to share a loccer room with them or play on the same court as them. Oh, wait. I sound just as low class and uneducated as Tim. I would love to see all the bigots on this board post their education credentials and IQ. I'm feeling a trend...

You are an idiot. The reason I say this is because God doesnt make people act, look,or become gay. God just gives them the choice. In the Bible homosexuality is a SIN.

Are you kidding me? This is the year 2007 and as we progress as a society, so should our tolerance for difference. People who are gay, are gay. It's not a choice. What if I were to say I hate black people? I would be an ignorant biggot for hating someone for the color of their skin. In my mind, it's all the same. We all need to stop worrying about who's gay, or who's black, or who's different in any way from who we are and start paying attention to more important things like the fact that we are headed towards WWIII and who's going to blow up who first. What is wrong with this country? Give it up!

The keyword here is HATE, not gay. He HATES them?!? Hate is what defines the worst of humanity. Hey Tim, maybe you should move to the middle east and join up with Al Queda, they hate gay people AND America too. How about the Nazi's, they hate gay people AND Jews. Oh, how about the KKK, they hate gay people. Oh, sorry about that last one, you can't join them, they hate black people too. These are your new teammates on the team you've chosen to play for.

If there were anything natural about it, civilization would cease to exist. When did the world get turned so upside-down that people find this acceptable? To call someone 'homophobic' would denote a fear of something. The only thing people fear about homosexuality is how it's tearing apart the very fabric of our society by destroying the family units which have been the core reason civilization has thrived to the extent it has. What really is a shame is the fact that most people are afraid to say what they REALLY feel on the issue, for fear of being branded 'hateful' or 'intolerant'. Gay people can get 'in your face' with their propensities and are lauded for their 'bravery', but the minute someone straight speaks THEIR mind on the issue, they're summarily vilified and sent to 'sensitivity training'. What a joke. What really ought to be happening here is all of these people who are so easily offended should be sent to 'suck it up and stop whining' training. What really should be considered a crime is criminalizing offending someone with mere words. Do we allow children to bring charges against each other for saying one has 'cooties' or some such nonsense? Of course not - they're just words. The person those words are directed at is offended, but they deal with it and get over it without litigation. Regardless of age, words are just that - words. But in today's society, there's freedom of speech only for those who speak with a form of political correctness, and speak words that are acceptable only under those conditions. Where would this country - or any other country for that matter - be today if those that fought to establish freedom would have been concerned about 'offending' someone's sensitivities? I congratulate Tim Hardoway for having the intestinal fortitude to speak up for what HE feels and what HE believes - for having the courage to stand up in public and say what HE thinks, and not just spew a bunch of politically correct nonsense.

Mr. Hardaway, you obviously have many insecurities. I think there are more important issues to focus. Who really cares whether a person is living an alternative life style? It really does not affect you...so why bother. Mr. Hardaway, you maybe 'gay' and using this moment to express your pretentious feelings publicly.

Grow up Mr. Hardaway...the same people who spent money to watch you play the game of basketball, were probably gay too. Your agent, coach, brother, sister, teacher, banker or close friends are probably living a lifestyle you hate. Educate yourself before you make statements that could cost you opportunities in the future. You are entitled to your opinion...however, when everything is said and done, you will be judged no different from next person.

Ask God or who your spiritual support to forgive you. We all are human; do not let the flesh control the great man you are...

The portion of the brain that regulates sexuality is biologically different in straights and gays. It is called the hypothulmus region of the brain stem.

Homosexuality is biological - call it a glitch or call it an evolutionary device for population control. The fact is - it is biological and not a choice.

Hardaway and some of the posters here are so moronic that it is unbelievable.

If you don't understand something or are ignorant just say so.

Judge people on an individual basis not on a trait.

I had never worked with anyone I knew to be gay until the position I am in right now. I am an IT/Network manager and have found tolerance but I do believe that where you must be naked and showering and hanging out privately there is no place for a gay man. I should not have to be self concious about who is leering at me and who is not. If you are gay fine but ensure that there is a proper facility where you can shower and be as gay as you want by yourselves. Now this is not anything at all different from women being n the same room. Although, as a heterosexual male, I would be more tolerant of naked women in the showers with me, I would not condone such a thing because of the position it places everyone in. Sexual harrassment is able to happen and it doesn't matter whether Gay, straight, male or female! In closing I just would say that maybe Tim was a bit rough in his statement but the truth be told is that I on't wholeheartedly disagree with him. I would be shocked to find out I was showering in a bathroom or disrobing in a locker room with someone gay and would call for a resolution as soon as possible or give him the locker room after or before I was to go into it. There is nothing wrong with that there is something wrong with hate.

I hate people who are racist, sexist or homophobic. What a bunch of losers you guys are, including Hardaway, who have racist prejudice thoughts. Every human being should be treated equal, unless or until that individual acts in a way that warrants scrutiny.

For a black man in America, with all the racism in the world, to 'hate gays' shows how ignorant and idiotic Tim Hardaway. What a sad person.

It's funny to hear big, grown, so-called verile, competitive sports men talk about being threatened by gay men, especially in the locker room; a place where so-called heterosexual men show off their manliness, while slapping each other on the butt? These guys, through their hateful, homophobic comments reveal more about themselves than the target of their scorn. First, it reveals their enormous egos that every gay man desires them (NOT!); and second, it reveals their ultimate fantasy of being overpowered and seduced by a gay man--a person they publicly and loudly decry as fairies and queens--and forced into situation where they are powerless and have no choice but to play the submissive role. It reminds me of the old saying, 'In every king there's a queen waiting to come out.'

How can predudice not be ignorant hate? 'I hate jews. I hate negroes and I HATE gays' Are you the same type of person who would have been a segregationist in the 60's? A sympathizer in the 30's? How is this any different? So in the future we will look back at the turn of the 21st century when the ignorant majority hated homos. I predict at least 10% of the NBA will be openly gay in 50 years, and nobody except the dumbest of the dumb will have any problem with it. Don't believe me? How about when black athletes first began to play pro sports 60 years ago, and ignorant white guys who wouldn't shower at the same time. its the same. replace gay with another word and you'll see how stupid you are. There is a genetic coorelation. Find me one scientific study that doesn't find a genetic coorelation to homosexuality. Identical twins and non-identical twins raised in seaparate environments since birth are 20 times more likely to be gay if their twin brother, who they've never met, is gay. Now tell me how thats not genetic.
