hater,

I personally know 3 gay men who are cancer doctors.

I also know one that is a research scientist working on a cure for parkinsons.

When and if you get either one - feel free to talk your trash. It will be amusing

Headline: Hardaway won't represent NBA in Vegas

The NBA banished Tim Hardaway from All-Star weekend in Las Vegas because of his anti-gay remarks.

Hardaway, who played in five All-Star games during the 1990s, was already in Las Vegas to make a series of public appearances this week on behalf of the league. But after Hardaway said, 'I hate gay people' during a radio interview, commissioner David Stern stepped in.

From: http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/6476572?CMP=OTC-K9B140813162&ATT=73
====================================================

Where is the ACLU in all of this? Why have they not come to Hardaway's defense? Isn't he just expressing his right to free speech?

Shouldn't Tim be able to speak his mind without negative repercussions in his workplace? Isn't the NBA Commissioner, David Stern practicing just the kind of workplace discrimination against Tim Hardaway that the ACLU fights for others wanting to say what they wish in defense of homosexuality? Imagine if someone were sent home by Stern from the NBA festivities for defending homosexuality? What would the uproar in the press be like then?

Ahhh, the double standard.

It's okay to bash the mainstream, it's not okay for the mainstream to tell it like it is... Too much LSD for the Hippies, that's where it all started! The left called it the ‘Great Society’ when indeed what we really have is the ‘Permissive Society’ where anything goes except a system of beliefs founded in morals and values. Kinsey is killing us and Dewey is destroying us. It’s time to rise up and not take it anymore!

Ken C.,

Hardaway's employer has a right to exclude him from representing them at events if they do not approve of his outburts. Every employer has that right.

I have no right to start verbally abusing people [or entire groups of people] where I work. If I did my employer would take action against me. Its called living in a civilized society.

Ignorance, prejudice, sterotypoes are not values. Free speech is a value - and Hardaway has a right to say what he wants - but as an adult he also has to suffer the consequences of his actions. Its called personal responsibility.

I know the right wingers are not too keen on personal responsibility - just look at all the corrupt members of the GOP - many of whom got tossed out at the midterm elections.

I defend free speech - and Hardaway exercized his right to it. But he also did it in the course of representing the NBA.

Face it Ken C. - you and the other insecure, threatened, straight male bigots and assholes are going down!

The NBA has gay fans, friends, and family members.

Being straight is really fun. The smell and taste of a woman is a gift. Being gay must suck because you have to like the smell and taste of shit. Bwahahahahahaha....no way Charlie Brown.....!

The idea of smelling a woman's bleeding gash make me nauseous. It smells like dead seafood and bleeds.

Being sexually attracted to guys is awesome - talk about 'taking 2 to tango' - hot man on man sex is pure heat and steam - rough and intense. It is mind blowing.

How can a guy like puffy flab when they can have hot, firm muscle?

CN
is that the best response you can give...'eat me'...you are hiding behind the facts of being born gay and the fact that scientist have determined there is a difference in you hypothalmus yet you dont seek to get treatment just like any other reasonable person that is born with an affliction that sets them apart and makes them a target of ridicule such as being born with club feet, a mishapen head, or asthma.. should we not fix children with club feet or people with asthma and just tell them to accept themselves for what they are and then we can alter all of society to fit their ills?? or should we continue searching for cures for the abnormalities that people are born with? being born with an enlarged hypothalmus is an abnormality of the human brain and it is a condition that scientists should be working to eradicate for the good of the afflicted, after all how many times do we have to hear 'do you i would chose to be gay' well you are choosing to be gay by not seeking out a cure for your condition and rallying all others with you affliction to to do the same. instead you would have the fabric of society rewoven to fit your ills..discet what i have said and what it is based on yours and all of the homosexual communities own admittances;
1. its a condition you are born with
2. its been scientifically proven that homosexuality is caused by an enlarged hypothalmus.
3. many homosexuals ask the question why would i choose to live as a gay in a nonaccepting society.
4. by not seeking help you are choosing to live with this condition.

quit hiding behind your own squewed logic and rally the cry among homosexuals for a cure! there should be no less intense search for a cure than has been expended on hiv and cancers.

minuteman,

I read your post. I hear your statement. The problem I have with it is this: I do not have a mental illness, I do not have club feet, I do not have paralysis in a limb. In other words being gay is not disabling in the least. It does not effect my ability to love, be productive, find meaningful work, enjoy life, etc.

Just because it makes you uncomfortable or because you don't understand it - does not mean it needs to be changed. That is your problem.

Besides there is no 'cure' for having an homosexual sexual orientation.

Maybe someday they will have surgery for that region of the brain and/or drug treatment - for those who chose to have it and thereby alter the way they were born.

The bottom line - it is not a disease.

Your attitudes reflect profoundly on you and your views of the world and life -not on me.

'The idea of smelling a woman's bleeding gash make me nauseous. It smells like dead seafood and bleeds.'

You came from your mothers growler and you talk like that??? Shame on you. You came from a holy place and you disrespect it.

'Being sexually attracted to guys is awesome - talk about 'taking 2 to tango' - hot man on man sex is pure heat and steam - rough and intense. It is mind blowing.'

I might have known you'd get 'blowing' in there, good 'job'. In addition you have a special fondness for human shit....good for you..heh heh heh

'How can a guy like puffy flab when they can have hot, firm muscle?'

Couple of things here CN;

Pussy is great.

You, in all probability, couldn't handle a healthy woman. Unlike your butt buddies, a good woman would have you begging for mercy in just 20 minutes.

PS Minutemen,

I am not 'hiding' behind anything. I have always sought the truth about sexual orientation. I have done alot of research about it. I was just sharing that information. Many people don't know about it. I don't think religious people get to have their own facts so as to support their religious beliefs. I think facts are facts. The truth is not political.

The fact that something 'is' - is not enough for me - I want to know 'why.'

I do not like sh*t and I don't know any gay guy that does.

38% of straight men engage in anal inrtercourse with women.

I don't engage in anal intercourse but for those gay guys that I know that do -they do it with someone who is clean. I won't get into the details.

we dont live in a theological society so quit refering to it, we live in a democracy and if the majority of that democracy deems something threatening and an ill of said democracy then a cure needs to be found for that affliction.
put aside all of the pontificating and rheatoric and listen to the science of the matter .....if not the democratic method.

minutemen,

I am not sure what you mean by abnormal. Is being left handed abnormal? Is being over 6'5' abnormal?

If it does not impair your life, functioning, or well-being then it is not a disease.

Being gay also does not cause HIV infection - unsafe sex does - as you know from very high HIV rates in Africa where it is spread by heterosexual sex.

It is true that most people in the USA that are HIV+ are gay men but it is easily avoided in this day and age by having responsible and safe sex.

Gay men are at higher risk [gay women are not] - so they need to be especially careful.

Should gay men and women not have a romantic and sex life because they are gay?

Should they forgo one of life's greatest pleasures because they are homosexual?

Should they deny their sexuality or hide it at all costs? That is the way it has been throughout most of history.

What you are witnessing in the early part of the 21st century is the advancement of the gay civil rights movement. With increased visibility comes increased hostility.
