Well I feel the samw way about straight people. I mean, all you hear about 24/7 is their relationships and their kids and their life-styles. I TOLERATE them but I don't accept them. Why should I have to hear them pushing their life-styles down my throat all the time? Why can't they just be quiet about their sexual orientation instead of putting it on every TV sitcom and soap opera. Enough of straight people!
I'm a Gay guy. And I've got lots of Straight guy friends. Hell, I've even gone skinny dipping with my friends! They don't feel the need to freak out around me. And like anyone knows, when a group of guys hang out, there can be dirty obscene jokes sometimes. You know. And I hear them talk about sex and it's fine, or they make fun of me cuz I can't relate, or humor about me actually liking the ladies when they know I don't. Or I can turn it around on them, or give my own flava bit of 'shower talk' to gross them out. It's all funny. We laugh.
I don't see why some people got to freak out about gay people. You don't have to hate gays, or not allow to have any gay friends. That's just stupid. And it's not like I flaunt it all the time. My friends know I'm different and get over it. We're equal people, we're not freaks. We don't have a freakin desease. LOOK OUT UR'RE GUNNA GET IT!! It's sickening. People just always gotta tear something down...

I think Hardaway's comments were mean, but face it, its a deeper issue. I'm a mom of 4. I wouldn't send my daughter through a men's locker room. And I don't let my 8 and 5 year old boys go through the YMCA men's locker room. Am I afraid of a straight man molesting them? No.

Seems to me the people who tolerate gays without accepting or celebrating their behavior have sat down and actually thought about it. To tolerate without accepting is not an emotional response. A kneejerk acusation however is. So back off calling me a homophobe because I don't celebrate diversity.
Hating and prejudice however is an emotional response. It requires no thought at all to hate someone based on a superficial reason. Frankly I think it's just an excuse to hate, but I can understand prejudice as much as I can understand sex from a woman's point of view or a gay's point of view.
I am a heterosexual man who tolerates gays but I draw the line there. Label me what you will but keep your personal life personal, I want to hear about it as much as you want to hear about mine.
