rolling my eyes is right.

Homosexual orientation is not passed down by gay parents. It happens in the womb during development of the fetus' brain and is not related to the parents sexual orientation.

Gay people have been around since the beginning of time - but mostly invisible or closeted within repressive cultures - like the middle east.

Like it or not - it is THE civil rights movement of the early 21st century.

That is the comments. I don't agree with hating of people, but I do hate the gay lifestyle. God tells us to love one another. This no matter what. Being gay is a sin, just like lying. 'Man shall not lie with man'. Now we all come short of the Grace of God, but shouldn't be practicing a sin. I don't believe people are borned with it. It is a learned behavior. Homosexuality is out of order and Gay people should not be showering with others of their same sex until they are truly converted to Heterosexual. I'm not homophobic and would be glad to share the Gospel with any Homosexual. This is just like a Liar should be held in contempt of court if they perjure themselves in court. Why did I using lying instead of others...because no sin has more weight then another.

Kinda strong, but...,

More religious mumbo jumbo. I do not believe that the Bible is literally true nor do I believe it was even meant to be.

The Bible says alot of things - like stoning people who work on the sabbath is righteous as well as many, many other things that are barbaric. The Bible also says that the Earth is 10,000 years old.

Which ones do you decide to pick and choose from?

We do not live in a Theocracy - we live in America, a Democracy.

I respect science and scientific fact. The civil laws of this Country should not be based on a religious book.

If you want that then go live in Iran where religious Clerics call the shots.

Tired of it allFeb 15th, 2007 - 22:13:20

I'm tired of all of the 'acceptance' not just 'tolerance' talk. To accept is to condone which the world calls me a bigot if I don't. Who gave all of you 'acceptors' absolute true anyway. What makes your opinion any more accurate than mine. If I chose to HATE the gay lifestyle, which I do, that's my right. Notice I didn't say the gay person. My belief in God dictates I should pray for them to leave their lifestyle of sin. That's also my right.

As a writer above, I believe the Bible. The stoning comment from the next poster shows a lack of knowledge on their part. But it's ok for them to be misinformed just not me. Those doing the stoning were NOT doing God's will. That's why Jesus HAD to come down here. To die for all of US sinners and make a path to GOD.

Gay lifestyle is WRONG. It is learned and therefore can be cured. Men and women were created to pro-create. Show me two men or two women who have reproduced without ANY bio help of the other then I may believe.

Plus, homosexuality has been around since biblical times. And the bible mentions it without chastising it.

Cast the first stone.Feb 15th, 2007 - 22:16:07

I'm gay and I don't think any of you will be the deciding factor of whether I go to heaven or hell, so why should you be able to spout off what 'God says' about homosexuality? He'll decide, not you. This is a respect issue, not a religious issue. If Tim Hardaway can so openly say that he hates gay people, then why can't Michael Richards call black people the n-word, and why can't Mel Gibson denounce Jews? It's all relative, so it's either something we fix entirely, or not at all. And all of the supporters of Tim H.'s statement are choosing to make this already close-minded society even worse. Congratulations on your ignorance.

I was born with a choice of being gay, just as much as Tim H. was born with a choice of being black. And please keep in mind that not ALL gay people are the same. If you don't like gay people because of their lifestyle, then that I should like heterosexual people because of the Paris Hiltons, Timothy McVeighs, and/or OJ Simpsons of this world. Not everyone is the same. Obviously MANY people in this country don't understand that because it's sooo much easier to stereotype and hate someone, rather than to show acceptance and understanding. If being gay is so wrong, then so is being black. See you in Hell, Tim. And the same to all the bigots ranting on this site. Go ahead, cast that first stone, you perfect angels.

Tim has every right to feel the way he does. He also has every right to be
outspoken about it. Anybody who would think otherwise would be wrong. That being said, Tim is an ignorant, intollerant jackass. I LOVED him as player. I don't like him as a human being. It's sad when people who don't understand others choose to hate them.

I feel the sam way as Tim Hardaway. I am sick and tired of hearing about other's sex lives. Gays are messed up and I don't want to be around them either. I don't hate them but I don't like them either, they are wannabee's.

I applaud Tim Hardaway for being man enough to say it like it is. Queers do not belong.

'Close your mouth! You're revealing your ignorance (the Bible especially) and attracting hatemongers.'

1) Hatemongers were posting here before me.
2) Your post qualifies you as a 'Hatemonger': your hate toward me.
3) Explain my biblical ignorance

Another poster says the Bible don't say homosexuality is wrong. I offer the following:

Jud 1:7

In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.

If this doesn't mean it's a sin I don't know what does.

As item 2 shows, it's ok for all of you to hate the people promoting a lifestyle God describes in His word but no for us hating a 'lifestyle' that's contrary to God's desire.

Wow! I knew there were others out there who still had come common sense. There are some really telling truths in the article and the comments left here as well.

The author of the article clearly revealed his left leaning biased Heterophobia with the choice of adjectives used to describe Hardaway’s and Amaechi’s statements. Here are some examples:

When referring to Hardaway’s comments the author uses condemnation adjectives like “shocking comments”; “pointing out the obvious, that his comments were 'flatly homophobic' and bigoted…”

Hardaway’s comments were not ‘shocking’ to those of us who have not lost our minds or those of us that have not been brainwashed by the Orwellian doublespeak of the modern media.

Nor is it ‘obvious’ to a reasonable person that Hardaway is either bigoted or flatly homophobic (a purely politically invented term that has no basis in science yet borrows its clout from sounding as such, how sophomoric!). What Hardaway is is courageous and steadfast in his own beliefs, that Homosexuality is sick and wrong and has no place in professional sports or in modern society in general.

Whereas the author uses praiseworthy adjectives to define Amaechi like “Hardaway's comments come after a revelation made by former player John Amaechi, who became the first professional basketball player to openly identify himself as gay.” Although strictly speaking one could indeed properly use ‘revelation’ when referring to Amaechi’s comments it is out of place in this context. Why not use the term ‘statement’ or better yet ‘confession’ to describe what Amaechi said. I’ll tell you why, because it does not further the agenda of the radical fascist left, that’s why.

My intuition tells me that there are millions and millions of us out there that are sick and tired of the lunatics running the asylum. Those of us that have conviction in our moral compass to tell us that the perversity and sickness that is the ‘gay lifestyle’ is indeed a mental sickness if it is not a ‘choice’.

And if it is a choice then it is certainly doubly sick that anyone would choose to live a mentally sick life. If it is not a choice then it is certainly a ‘mutation’ for is goes against the laws of nature (the fundamental law of nature is indeed pro-creation – even beyond preservation) and as a ‘mutation’ we should expend all of our great wealth and ingenuity as a nation to cure the mutants.

Tim Hardaway should be praised for his courageous and daring statements! I myself wouldn’t use the term “I hate gay people!” for I do not hate them, I pity them, as I pity those that suffer from schizophrenia or severe depression or even physical afflictions like MS.

I feel sorry for those that have been duped into thinking that their disgusting behavior is somehow ‘okay’ because that’s ‘just the way they are’. I hope and wish that we could find a cure. Maybe what we should so is come up with a national campaign to fight the disease to find a scientific cure for homosexuality and then once and for all we can give them true hope rather than false hope! I suppose if we were to launch the campaign then our symbol would have to be a ribbon, like the pink ribbon used to represent the quest to cure breast cancer, our ribbon would have to be a rainbow ribbon with the words “Find the Cure” written across it!

Don’t be ashamed to say what you feel. Don’t left the leftist Nazi’s intimidate you by labeling you bigot or homophobe. Don’t succumb to their agenda. Speak up, fight back stand for what you believe. If we do not then we too shall decay and fall into history as the Egyptians, the Greeks, the Romans and the British have gone before us. Let us learn a lesson from the past and not repeat those mistakes, let’s battle the forces of evil as our forefathers did in the 1890’s, the 1920’s and we must now in our generation.

Don’t be afraid to be a man!

One last question. Why is it you think that the author of this article is so biased? Is Stone Martindale Gay? Or is the author just another victum of the left’s pro-gay, anti masculine anti-Western Culture, anti-American, anti-capitalist, pro-communist, pro-socialist agenda?

For Reference:

The Homosexual Manifesto

Don’t let them tell you that this is just ‘make believe’ – if that’s the case then Lenin’s Communist Manifesto was just make believe as well, so was the Cold War, the near end of the earth through nuclear annihilation and the Victory of Reagan in bringing the Evil Empire to its (knees and,) senses – we must be willing to battle as well! They would lull you to sleep telling you not to worry about this – that’s just a shell game while they try to tell us that all the greats were Gay - Newton, Da Vinci, Caesar, and others, read it, think about what’s happened the last twenty years since it was written and you’ll be horrified that you’ve been asleep!

I find it amazing how many men (especially those who commented here today)are so insecure about their masculinity that they would find his comment appropriate and support this bigot and his actions.I do believe everyone in America is entitled to their own opinion & freedom of speech as granted in the Constitution. However, how would Mr. Hardaway feel if that same comment was made about African Americans?? You can bet that the NCAA and other groups would be in an UPROAR! All that these statements that he made just show how ignorant, unintelligent, and how much of a bigot Mr.Hardaway is.I hope his career, like his intelligence go down the drain.

The gay manifesto??

Where did you get that from?

I have been out for 20+ years and have never even heard of such a thing.

This is the type of thing that Hitler did to the Jews in Germany in the 1930s.

You are scaring me.

This type of anti-gay propaganda spread by the religious right wing and other hate mongers is unacceptable.

R. Richard,

You are 100% wrong. It was the advancement of science and understanding that is the reason homosexuality was reclassified from a mental disorder.

And today there is even more scientifc evidence that it is biological and not a disorder.

As far as the gay manifesto goes - this is exactly the type of thing Hitler used against the Jews.

I have been out 20+ and have never even heard of such a thing. It is pure anti-gay propaganda. make no mistake. And it is unacceptable
