Pamela Anderson turned down Julian Macdonald's personal invitation to his London Fashion Week show because of her anti-fur beliefs.
The former 'Baywatch' actress declined the Welsh fashion designer's invite and offer to create her a bespoke outfit, because he uses animal pelts in his collections.
Pamela urged him to watch her educational video for PETA, which shows how animals are killed for their fur.
She wrote: "Dear Julian, unfortunately I won't be in London for Fashion Week, but I truly appreciate the invitation to your show and your kind offer of creating an outfit for me. I'm hoping you can extend your kindness to include animals. If you stop using fur, I'd be thrilled to attend a show of yours in the future. Please watch my video about the fur trade on peta.org.uk."
The 39-year-old actress did praise Julian - who has designed outfits for Kylie Minogue, Joely Richardson and Geri Halliwell - for his talent, but suggested he should use more ethical materials.
She added: "You're such a wonderful, talented designer, and I know you can come up with killer fashions that don't kill anything. My friends at PETA and I would love to hear from you should you decide to go fur-free.
"Best of luck at Fashion Week, and kindest regards, Pamela."
Pamela is a dedicated spokesperson for PETA and has been involved in a number of anti-fur demonstrations on behalf of the group.
Last year, she stripped off in the window of Stella McCartney's London boutique to raise awareness.

Yea, Pammy!
It's appalling that these designers are still promoting fur, after they have
repeatedly been made aware of the ethical problems associated with the
Chinese fur trade.
According to the Humane Society of the United States, 'Millions of dogs and
cats [including pets] are processed every year under horrendous conditions
(many skinned alive) and then slaughtered for the [Chinese] fur
trade' which supplies more than half of the fur garments imported for sale
into the United States. Dog and cat fur is deliberately mislabeled as fur
from other species so that it can be sold to unsuspecting Americans.
Everyone from Martha Stewart to Paul McCartney has denounced this fur,
including some of the largest clothing retailers. J. Crew, Ann Taylor (who
has 740 stores in 45 states), Ralph Lauren, Abercrombie and Fitch, Olan
Mills, and U.K.'s most respected fashion chain Topshop, have all
stopped selling fur after seeing the Fur Trade videos. Additionally, many
stars who had previously worn fur, denounced it after seeing how it is
'produced.'
This is not an issue that concerns only animal rights advocates. Mainstream
citizens are climbing onboard the boycott.
Anyone even thinking about wearing fur has a moral obligation to seek out
information about the 'production' process and where the fur comes from.
They should go to the Humane Society web site or the link below and view the
short videos before falling for the advertising hype urging them to buy fur.
In January, Care For the Wild, East International, and the Swiss Animal
Protection released their wrenching findings from Fun Fur? A Report on the
Chinese Fur Industry. http://tinyurl.com/ag3jh
I think it's gret that Pam didn't take the offer... but being put in that situation I would probably take the offer... sorry to the animals but it's LONDON FASHION WEEK people... you know you would do it too...

Pamela Anderson is amazing! I can't stand people or designers who support the bloody fur industry. For those who don't know about the cruelty that goes into every fur coat (such as the stomping on, hanging by wire nooses, and even being skinned alive), I strongly urge you to watch the educational videos and information on www.FurIsDead.com.
