Hugh Grant was once sent a love song penned by a male prisoner.
The 'Music and Lyrics' star has never put pen to paper for a loved one but revealed he did become the object of affection for one lonely inmate.
He told BANG Showbiz: "I have never written one. I did once receive a love song from a man who was in a high security prison, somewhere in East Anglia."
The 46-year-old actor - who is dating socialite Jemima Khan - also admitted he hasn't got a clue about romantic music.
When asked about his favourite Valentine's Day song, he said: "You can't ask a man that because he doesn't have an answer. But you could ask my co-star Drew Barrymore. She would probably come up with 4,000."
In 'Music and Lyrics', Hugh plays a washed up 80s pop star who enlists the help of his plant lady, played by Drew, to help him write a new song.
