Kylie Minogue's fresh start sans Martinez

Singer Kylie Minogue and Olivier Martinez have bid each other au revoir as they have announced the cessation of their four year relationship.

The 38-year-old pop star and the French actor, 41, issued a joint statement to confirm they were no longer a couple.

They said "false accusations" in the media of Olivier's alleged cheating with an LA actress have saddened them but the decision to separate was mutual and they remained "very close friends".

Minogue returned to the stage last year after her recovery from breast cancer and is working on new material.

The couple's statement read: "Olivier Martinez and Kylie Minogue have officially confirmed that they are no longer a couple.

"They have made it clear that the decision to go their separate ways was mutual and amicable.

"The media's false accusations of disloyalty have saddened them both. The two remain very close friends."

Minogue was forced to postpone her Showgirl world tour after she was diagnosed with cancer in May 2005.

Hooray.Now Olivier can claim his own life and career back since it stalled the day he met this female
.Must have got bored being Mr Minogue, especially as he hates the tabloid press so much an she just loves all the attention.It was doomed from day they met.
Still good luck to both and who cares really...people break up all the time and life moves onwards.Press will have a field week or two and she will bask in sympathetic glow whilst he gets hammered over stuff he may not even have done.

I feel sorry for him.But on plus side he is free to regain his career that was set to flourish till he met her.
