The comments complaining about Biden's use of 'articulate' are nonsense. Obama is very articulate, not compared with African-Americans or any other race, but compared with almost all politicians.

He also comes across as sincere, thoughtful and honest. By the same respect, that in no way implies others of his race to be insincere, unthoughtful or dishonest.

I have never had any respect for Joe Biden, a law school cheat, plagiarist, and hypocrite, nor do I have an ounce of respect for misguided, hyper-sensitive, zealots, wholly incapable of taking a simple compliment for what it's worth. 'Articulate' is a compliment. It matters not whether the praiseworthy individual is black, white or chartreuse. If the zealot so chooses, he may take any compliment, claim the inverse as a negative premise, and label it a back handed compliment. BO is a solid and attractive candidate (If I may be so bold as to risk a compliment) worthy of the praise that is now being heaped upon him. For the naysayers, I leave you to your hapless, fixated ride through life, horse-blinders intact.

Big Al,

Conceivably, the cleanliness comment means that Obama, unlike Biden's other colleagues in the Senate, shows up for work each day having bathed.

Surely, there isn't any other possible meaning.

I don't think Binden know's Obama too well on a personal level, he as probably heard him speak, seen him in public and brief political knowledge. Therefore, calling him articulate, and clean can be simple professional compliments.

Yes, ou could interpret them as racial slanders or insults, but if you consider the comments without taking Obama's race into consideration they are still accurate.

On a different note, it'd be nice to have an articulate president to the south after all the speech blunders of the past 8 years... And let's not forget, the pretsel assasination attempt, haha.

cheers

As an outsider to this game of presidential elections I observe that the image of candidates as perceived by the electorate is mmore important than the ideas they stand for .Their appearance has been carefully groomed by spindoctors to appeal to the largest quantity.Speeches are written by copy-writers ,carefully avoiding antagonizing possible electors .Hence pertinent and even urgent problems are swept under the carpet or rendered obscure in such a manner that it leaves the electorate guessing for what the candidates really stand for .
All of them are now rated on a scale of diffuse and neutral statements where content is avoided ,and most of the time less relevant characteristics as charisma, leadership, stance are boosted ,more easily manipulated by spindoctors .What happened to such important issues as health care, social security ,global warming ,the ongoing war ?
These issues are now debated on a very strange level .Not the solutions proposed by the candidates are compared.Instead the the candidates are rated on a scale of determination, leadership and it is left to these perceptions,so easily manipulated by the spindoctors ,to convince you all .
To me this is a malfunction of democracy and might cost the american people a lort of money .
As an example I wouldlike to give you your current president waging an unjustified war in Iraq, the cost of which you will all have to pay .Have you any idea how many trillions of dollars you will have to cough up ?
THat is part of the prize when you elect a candidate on the perception of leadership ,determination ,etc .
Beware of anybody invoking god as an entity joining you in a crusade against evildoers .Be very careful when somebody tells you that you are either a true patriot when you sing along whit the rest of the choir ,or a traitor to your nation if you sing a different tune .Chances are you are being lead by the nose .
In the aftermath of 9/11 this procedure was used to silence those who dared question the legitime character of the war in Iraq .To criticize was an act of betrayal ,the media were even used and very willing to cooperate with this giant fraud .
You will find the same sharteholders in you newspapers and weaponfactories.
They dictate what you have to think.Murdoch and Bsh discuss these issues during lunch ans some croonie ventilates it in the papers .
It used to be different ,Franklin and Jefferson are restless in their graves .

Reggie Jackson picked up on that 'articulate' bit in his autobiography over 20 years ago -- evidently, we are not past that. And that 'first African-American' part in the sentence makes it really hard to misinterpret. In JB's defense, though, maybe that wasn't really his opinion: maybe he got it off someone else's term paper????

BIDEN = RIAA / OBAMA = RACISTSep 17th, 2008 - 05:38:08

SNL should do a skit where Biden comes onto the stage and imprisons all the computer users at an internet cafe with an RIAA-themed costume on since he is the man with the not so master plan behind all the RIAA / FBI tech according to what i've read. I know many people agree with this, however I think they have done things the wrong way.

Screw the non-american obama who won't even put his hand on the bible to be sworn in. Screw the non-american obama who will not use the word God in the Pledge of Allegiance, but spits in the face of America when he is forced to say it, and does so without using it. Not to mention the 20 years that he attended 'REVEREND' WRIGHT's church.. What a racist, anti-american being. Obama must have been asleep every sunday for 20 years. BTW, have you checked out the report on MICHELLE OBAMA's thesis from college that was suppressed and not released intentionally and then went public. It's quite interesting. They are racist people, folks. Get it through your heads or kill yourself before the election please.

Thank you. Have a great day!

Please do your research on those fools. DO NOT say yes to the RIAA. Do not say yes to destruction of our government from within by biden obama!
