Technophobe Simon Cowell
Jan 30, 2007, 13:30 GMT
Simon Cowell is a technophobe.
The 'American Idol' judge says he has no idea how to use a computer or an MP3 player.
He confessed: "I don't know how to work a computer or an MP3 - what do you call them? An iPod. I do not want to know."
Asked if people who don't own iPods don't love music, he sarcastically replied: "Maybe that is what it is."
Simon - whose artists have sold around 25 million albums - also no longer listens to music at home.
He told a US magazine: "I love music at times. But if you work at a fish and chip shop, you're not going to eat fish and chips at night.
"The idea of watching auditions for 14 hours, listening to people murder Stevie Wonder, then putting it on my iPod. No! I can't do it!"
Simon, 47, says he goes for weeks without listening to his favourite tunes and would rather relax by watching TV.
He revealed: "I can go weeks and weeks without listening to music for pleasure.
"Guys reach a point in our lives when we prefer TV to music."
