Victoria won't pony up for Scientology

She may have millions at her disposal to shop and spend as she pleases, but Victoria Beckham is no schmoe when it comes to dough, and won't fall hook, line and sinker for the expensive to join with hefty maintainance fees cult of Scientology. Posh is telling pals she has no intention of joining the "Church of Scientology," despite her closeness with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, according to Gatecrasher Ben Widdicombe and the New York Daily News.
"There's no way I'd spend any money on that nonsense," she told a friend recently about the faith founded by author L. Ron Hubbard.
Says another unnamed pal to Gatecrasher: "It's completely laughable that there's even talk of her becoming a Scientologist. Just because people are friends with someone doesn't mean they do everything they do. Scientology is like kabbala in that it's become all about money.
"Kabbala bracelets are now $28! It's a joke." In July, Posh and David Beckham are moving to Los Angeles, where he scored a ginormous $250+ million contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team.
Widdicombe speculates that fortune won't "be used to ward off thetans or Xenu, the evil space emperor central to Scientology doctrine."
As the unnamed pal told Gatecrasher: "Scientology is an expensive religion; Victoria is too cheap to convert."

This is so ridiculous. Someone doesn't have to change their faith just to be friends with someone of another faith. Who cares if she decides to become a Scientologist or not! In America she has the right to believe as she chooses.
