Shakira reportedly makes her roadies clean the stage before every concert, because she likes to perform in bare feet.
The 'Hips Don't Lie' singer, who is currently on the European leg of her 'Oral Fixation Tour', prefers to gyrate round the stage with no shoes on and insists the floor be spotlessly clean.
She said: "It's got to be clean otherwise I can't go on."
Shakira has also revealed she is desperate to visit Scotland, although the country is not one of the stops on her current tour.
She said: "I love Scotland. I think it's beautiful. I don't always get to decide where I go on tour. It's the promoters, but I would love to come."
Meanwhile, Shakira has confessed she is anxious about turning 30 on February 2 this year.
She said: "It's scary. I don't know what I'll be doing yet, but turning 30 is a big thing.
Shakira's tour kicked off in the German city of Hamburg last Thursday (25.01.07). Her only British concert is at London's Wembley Arena on March 18.
