Anna Friel is an adrenaline junkie. The 'Goal! 2: Living the Dream' actress loves risky pursuits and almost caused a plane crash once because of her passion for speed and heights.She said: "I love speed and machines. I once spent three hours learning to fly a plane and five years later, I was flying over Africa with a girlfriend and told the pilot I could fly. He let go of the controls and said, 'Go on then'. The plane plummeted and I grabbed the controls. I was panicking but I loved it. I laughed my head off when we got back level again."Despite enjoying a successful acting career, Friel remains unimpressed by fame and celebrity culture.The brunette star particularly hates reality TV shows and admits she couldn't bear to watch British director Ken Russell being berated by Jade Goody on this year's 'Celebrity Big Brother'.She said: "Shows like 'Celebrity Big Brother' I can't stand. I have nothing against Jade Goody, but she was in the house with Ken Russell, who is an amazing TV director and he left because of her. It shows that if you have some sort of integrity, you can't stand this modern manipulation of meaningless fame."(C) BANG Media International
