I hate the way this 48yr old frump still makes headlines. Especially as the millions made in her heyday seem to have put her above the law. African babies are not fashion statements and should not be bought to boost her image as a caring, sharing human being.

Madonna is doing the right thing here, and all those sour-faced agists (so, she is 48, shock horror) should consider to concentrate on their own shortcomings instead of trying to pick on one of life's winners. Madonna didn't get to be where she is by being incompetent, and a child that is brought up in her house will have everything to start them off perfectly in whichever way their talents take them.

And why is it that people are so hateful about one child getting incredibly lucky and being adopted by Madonna? Would you all feel better if Madonna did not adopt or give money to charity?

I agree with Rosa. Madonna's generosity is misinterpreted in a most vile manner by some people. How can they be so sure that her intention was to use the child as a fashion accessory? Are they just jealous of her talent and success? There are much bigger things to be concerned about in this world, than one of the world's biggest superstars having the heart to give a child from an impoverished background, a stable and loving home.
