Christina Aguilera picked up two accolades at the NRJ Awards on Saturday night (20.01.07).

The 'Dirrty' singer scooped International Female Artist of the Year and International Album of the Year, for 'Back to Basics', at the ceremony in Cannes - which is France's equivalent of the BRITs.

But according to insiders, the two awards weren't enough to make Christina happy. She was left furious when she lost out on her number-one choice of hotel suite to Gwen Stefani.

Christina had her sights set on the £3,000-a-night presidential suite at the Carlton hotel on the seafront, but was forced to settle for a £2,000-a-night suite at the Martinez instead, after mum-of-one Gwen booked it first.

It was the hotel staff at the Martinez that paid for the fiery pop superstar's disappointment.

A porter told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "We took all her bags up to her room but we didn't even get a tip. We took flowers up as well and still, nothing."

Other winners on the night included Nelly Furtado who picked up International Revelation of the Year, following the massive global success of her second album 'Loose'.

Justin Timberlake took home the award for International Male of the Year, while US band Evanescence scooped International Group/Duo of the Year.
