Get over it Knowles, Beyonce did not win. The world saw the movie and the world voted. Trust me Beyonce is not all that. Reign time over. Don't you get it everyone is not sucked into yours and Beyonce dream world. NO doubt you and she bragged about this movie to be her breakout movie as an actress. No No No No way Jennifer is going any where. God has his time for every thing and every body. People are really tired of seeing old woman on stage with nothing on them except the brest coverd and the crotch. Beyonce is to old to be half dressed every time she enter the stage. If the truth be told her only fans are 12 to 20 year old and they have to get there money from their parents to purched Beyonce crap and know that real parents are sick of you and your ' role model' that you stated was not your responsibility. People say and I say Beyonce can't talk, her verb knowledge and english diction is horrible and you want her to be a world representative for me, yes I'm black and Beyonce is not capable of speaking for me. No racism was shown against her in the Golden Globes she just did not win. get over it Knowles.

matthew knowles is an idiot. he says discrimination was the reason that beyonce was not nominated? its so hard to believe anyone would say that. for one several black people were nominated for and won big awards such as best actor, supporting actress etc. how does he explain their nominations and wins? his problem is probably just that he cannot accept that people simply didnt think beyonce was good enough to be nominated. you know THAT IS a possibility, shocking as that seems. as a latina, it bothers me when people in my community scream discrimintation almost as a knee-jerk reaction and it likewise bothers me that mr knowles seems to be doing this. he is contributing to a problem by making those who are in a situation where they are actually discriminated against taken less seriously. its really sad that he would choose to see this situation this way. so basically any lowpoints in b's career are due to discrimination i guess.... uh right. maybe she just sucks.
Anyone who saw the movie and knows about Beyonce must agree that she is a great singer. However, the awards are about acting, and she cannot act. Why she's being pushed to cross over to acting when she has a brilliant singing career is beyond me. She's already distracted from singing with her 'clothing line'. Does she really need more distractions???

Wow...umm...I don't believe that one, Beyonce said it herself, 'I have nine grammys, I'm already a star, people know I can sing' so does she really need a Golden Globe too. NO! Matthew your daughter is very musically talented, but she's not the best actress, that's why she lost. I mean it wouldnt have made sense for Meryl Streep to loose to Beyonce, are you kidding me?! You can blame this on her being black. J-Hud is black too, and she won..why you ask, because she was BETTER than those in her category, people felt something when she was on the screen.I'm black too, and in many cases people loose to racism, but my dear this is just NOT one of those times.
Oh hell here we go! Whenever Beyonce's spotlight taken away & given to somebody else Papa Knowles comes a running to take it back. He, after all is his daughter's manager! Beyonce's performance in Dreamgirls was simply OK. Not bad, not great! This movie was definitely Jennifer Hudson's MOVIE! Beyonce has been blamed for yours for 'spotlight hogging'. But it was her Dad that always pushed Bey infront of other talented stars. Destiny Child has eerie similarities to The Supremes.
But really surprises me is that Knowles Senior would accuse Hollywood of not promoting Beyonce. Are you kidding me? From the moment Beyonce went Solo from her girl group, Hollywood has bend over, gone gaga over Miss Beyonce. Not since Halle Berry, has a Black woman received so much press & coverage all over the country. I hate to say it, but it's because Bey is light skin, with long hair why she continues to receive kudos from Hollywood. There hundreds of equally beautiful talented, African American women who do not get an ounce of press! Even tabloid press is better than none at all! Plus, Jennifer Hudson & The Movie have been heavily promoted in Hollywood! Shame on Mr. Knowles. Yes racism still exists in Hollywood but Jennifer Hudson has received strong promotion from all media outlets, YES over Beyonce so that is what's really irking Papa Knowles. Hey, Don't ruin Jennifer's Year!
she was NOMINATED for the award she just didn't WIN. In all honesty Meryl Streep was awesome in the Devil Wears Prada & her performance was much more satisfying than Beyonce's in Dreamgirls. I don't think she deserved the nomination. While her acting has improved from film to film I don't think her Dreamgirls performance was worth the nomination for a Golden Globe and I will be incredibly suprised if she is nominated by the Academy for an Oscar. Then again, perhaps all of this hooplah is Mathew's way of getting the Academy's attention.

Jennifer Hudson is up and coming. That girl is a natural. Beyonce can sing but acting is not for her. Beyonce can sing performing a part, but can not talk the part. Face Daddy Knowles, stick to singing.
Knowles' dad blames racism for his daughter's lack of publicity or support in her nomination.
He told press and attending reporters after the ceremony on Monday, 'Today is Martin Luther King's birthday and it saddens me to say that things have not changed for blacks. Working class blacks and blacks in Hollywood are still being discriminated against. We still have a long way to go.'
Where in his statement does Mr Knowles say that his daughter was slighted by the Golden Globes Award process. That comment about the lack of publicity or support for Beyonce' was added in by the author of the article. Why do you know this because it is not between the quote marks that designate statements directly received by the author from the subject in question.
His comment was about MLK birthday and furthermore, Beyonce' in no form or fashion disparaged Ms Hudson. This is some PR mess. This is a classic spin job. Don't believe the hype y'all until someone who was actually on the set comes to you and tells you the 'riff between Knowles and HUdson was true, otherwise put all of the above statements in the trash bin.

The headline is deliberately misleading and designed to suck us into a catfight for ignorant people- If you read the full comment by Matthew Knowles made on MLK day there is no personal attack on JHud or even a defence of his daughter. He makes a simple general statement about black people still being limited palyers in Holloywood which, for the most part, remains very true. Of course, he as any parent internally would want the focuss to be on their child, but he did not denigrate the accomplishements of JHud in any way in fact she wasn not even mentioned!!! This non-story is a complete concoction by the editor who frankly should be censured. The divide and conquor method has been used against us for centuries -don't take the bait - this is a set-up. Let's crtically assess the content and not just knee-jurk react to headlines.
Beyonce needs to sit down and her parents need to shut up. Beyonce is an established rich entertainer who has more awards than she could carry. She has makeup contracts worth millions. She is in movies and people are also buying her mammie-made clothes. She is dating a hip hop mogul. SO why is she upset about Jennifer Hudson's success?

The way that Beyonce has behaved toward Jennifer Hudson has been a disgrace.
Jennifer Hudson did not win american idol and this is the first film that she ever did. She did an amazing job. Also she is a humble and gracious human being who, unlike Beyonce, has a lot of class. Beyond being an amazing raw talent she has shown so much class in handling all of the excitement. She deserves all the success that she gets.
Jennifer Hudson was excellent. I cheered for her and cried for her. She was the movie..bottom line.
B was almost non existant. I really did not see any improvement. She seemed nervous and a bit high. I don't like her anymore since she made those bad commnents about how many grammys and this and that she has. She can sing, but not as well as Jennifer can. Jennifer sings rings around b. It's kinda sad that she had to help write a song and thing over sing it to try and match Jennifer's legendary song that everyone knows. She tried to out do Jennifer Holiday. Never in this life b you don't have the pipes to box with Jennifer Hudson or Jennifer Holiday. never ever and I mean never! Jennifer is a natural. She has heart and soul. I saw dreamgirls and that girl did not even deserve a nomination. I am a african american person and this year i think racism is so far from the picture in award season. Finally you have blacks competing with whites and win not because of the color of there skin but because the out shown the rest of the competition. Forest Whittaker won againist Leo d.,Eddie Murphy beat out Jack N. Because they out shown in there craft. Beyonce can barely speak good english. why should she win a golden globe. Her singing does nothing for you, and if she did not use her body, people would not even listen to her music. I am sick and tired of people saying she is talent, and to those people I say: you know nothing about singing.

This is such a stupid comment to make when a total of five African Americans won awards that night. Get over it Daddy Knowles and Beyonce, this is not a popularity contest, TRL or the MTV awards. These are very prestigious acting awards. It is obvious that this is a real wake up call that the World does not revolve around and cater to Ms. B. Judging from Dreamgirls, Beyonce has a long way to go before she will be taken seriously as a real actress.

I have to say as a black woman I am embarrased that he would pull out the race card on this one. When I heard the Golden Globe nominations I was enraged at how Beyonce's lackluster perfomrance could be nominated and nominated for BEST ACTRESS no less.

Why would anybody be upset that Beyonce didnt win or get nominated for best actress? didnt everyone see the movie. It was not about her character it was about Jeniffer Hudson's. Beyonce had alot of singing lines, not alot of acting lines, her character should have been a supporting role. But a bigger name gets you the headline I guess, which is good because it did get people out to watch it. However family continues to push her to the forefront. Nothing is wrong with that generally, but when its at the expence of someone esles genuine ability, who is trying to make it too then that is just not right. The Knowles family is like that snobby black family who just got into the country club and doesnt want anyone else from back where they come from to join. Crab mentality. And also didnt the movie kind of seem like the Destiny Childs story. The seemingly 'prettier' one in the group gets pushed to the front and she acts like she doesnt know whats going on. Look where Kelly and Michelle are now. I went on their myspace pages a couple weeks ago and who's face is plastered all over their screen miss Beyonce, now tell me that isnt a ploy to keep you thinking about her and not them. It must be contractal cause I sure as hell would not even be friends with her. And while I strongly stand by all of my previous statements I actually do beleive that Beyonce is talented, possibly because the other acts out even Mariah has sunk to mediocracy, but she is good. An all around entertainer. But it shouldnt be at the expence of theres girl, we all need a little time to shine.
God forbid, Beyonce don't get all the attention. SHE WASN'T ACTING....the moveie is a mirrored version of her life. Getting a Golden Globe Nomination was a stretch as it is. Everybody in the cast of Dreamgirls is black...so being black doesn't have anything to do with her not getting all the attention. I think she is an excellent entertainer, but she needs to stay in her field and leave acting to actors.
Poppa Knowles needs to sit his gray butt down....Beyonce is still out in the forefront doing her thing....she is not the world's best everything. Who does he think she is? ok ok. i think that we all need to realize that Matthew is going to always do what he thinks is best for his daughter. if he feels she was treated unfairly then that's his right. Don't beat up on him because you would do the same for your child. i think that Beyonce is very talented and she did a wonderful job in 'Dreamgirls'. Jennifer Hudson definately earned her star treatment because she was phenomenal!!!!! Her entire performance was breath taking! I don't think it's fair to compare her and Beyonce's singing because they have two very different styles. Beyonce is a performer and a natural born star...she dances and sings the heck out of her songs and she's very sensual. Beyonce's B-Day album is an excellent work of art. you have to really be musically inclined to understand the complicated things that this girl is doing with her voice these days. And did you catch her performance on Oprah???? Excellent!!!! Jennifer Hudson has a very strong and well maintained voice...she's a balladier. When Jennifer starts recording her album, i pray that she uses the same producers as Whitney Huston (who neither of these talented young ladies can touch)because when she sang in Dreamgirls she made me feel the hurt and heartache of love lost...(i cried). All Jennifer really has to do is open her mouth, and then you can see that she is a star, and she's doing much better now then she did on american idol. but lay off the dad, can we let this one slide????
Quite frankly he sounds bitter. I'm black but yet I do not see any signs of discrimination with regards to the nominations or awards. Jeniffer Hudson...unlike Beyonce Knowles has been on every show and is getting much acclaim for her role in Dream Girls because she did a phenomenal job. It's a shame that he cannot look beyond his own selfish desires and realize that black people are being recognized in this movie. Unfortunately his daughter was not one of them....quite frankly her 'acting' performance wasn't that great! She is a beautiful woman and a beautiful singer...and nobody's denying that! People, myself included love Beyonce...she's fierce however, Jennifer deserves all the acclaim she's getting. It's seems so childish that he would not rise above his own obvious predjudices and just be happy that black people are being recognized and admired in Hollywoood. You know my momma used to tell me, 'everything ain't for everybody.' Beyonce is an icon in the music industry...I appreciate her desire to broaden her professional career, but if you are really good at one thing...and that one thing seperates you from the rest...then stick with that!
