Amy Winehouse whines some more
Jan 15, 2007, 13:50 GMT
Amy Winehouse claims she is like an "old Jewish man" when it comes to music.
The 23-year-old singer admits she doesn't really have a clue about new music because all her influences come from the past.
Amy said: "I don't really know about new bands today. I'm like an old Jewish man. Maybe I'm out of the loop, I don't know."
Amy much prefers listening to older music, such as Motown and 60s group The Shangri-Las.
The 'Rehab' singer has also revealed she wants to work with Gnarls Barkley but is too terrified to approach the duo.
She said: "I wouldn't even approach the idea. I'd faint on the spot. Wilt like a spinach. But I'd love to work with them."
Amy was reportedly approached by drug-addict rocker Pete Doherty last year to record a duet.
