Sylvester Stallone has joked family life drives him to drink.

The 'Rocky Balboa' actor has three daughters - Sophia Rose, Sistine Rose, and Scarlett Rose - with his wife, former model Jennifer Flavin, and admits he finds it hard living in a house full of women.

He quipped: "My wife is the one who stays at home and looks after the kids because I can't take it. I need a drink after 15 minutes!"

However, Stallone, 60, insists he respects women more than men because they have an innate ability to be "good parents".

Meanwhile, Stallone was put on a sex ban when he filmed the latest Rocky movie.

The action star was happy to adhere to the ban because he had no energy left for the bedroom after his gruelling daily training regime.

He said: "There is only so much energy in the body and I know some athletes in the film didn't adhere to the ban, but I did because I knew it was the only way.

"I hear David Beckham says he doesn't, but maybe he's the exception.

"The people I know who fight all stick to a sex ban because if they don't they lose."
