'Hairspray' director Waters on Team Federline

Kevin Federline has a fan in director and son of Baltimore, Maryland, John Waters. Waters' is known for his campy movies that featured crazy charcters and over the top dialogue. His early films - Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble, and Desperate Living - labeled the Trash Trilogy, and pushed the boundaries of their time, featuring actor Divine in all sorts of scatalogical compromises.Waters films have become more mainstream, although works such as Hairspray, Cry-Baby and Serial Mom still have his touch of the absurd. The film "Hairspray" was turned into a hit Broadway musical, which swept the 2003 Tony Awards, and a remake is currently being filmed.Waters' also had a bit part in Jackass: Number Two. Page Six of the New York Post reported that Waters had some words of encouragement for the much maligned K Fed. "You don't see him out there getting out of limousines and flashing his shaved crotch," the director of "Hairspray" told a Canadian reporter. "He's been the gentleman since they split up." Waters, dubbed "The Pope of Trash" by William Burroughs."I'm a big fan of K-Fed . . . What did he do that was so wrong? She [Britney Spears] is the idiot. She's the one who gave him the Ferrari. Who gives a Ferrari to rough trade? . . . And he looks good whether he's all cleaned up or long-haired and sleazy."
