Amy Winehouse's tattoo addiction

Amy Winehouse keeps getting more and more tattoos to relieve boredom.
The 'Rehab' singer, who is covered in body art, admits she has become addicted to tattoos since getting her first one.
The 23-year-old star said: "I like looking at pretty pictures. I get bored looking in the mirror and seeing the same thing. So I just keep getting more and more."
Last year, rebellious Amy, who is currently riding high in the charts with her second album 'Back to Black', unveiled a new design featuring naked ladies.
She admits it is her favourite piece, saying: "I like pin-up girls."
Amy's old boyfriend, Alex, has her name tattooed on his arm, while Amy has his name etched near her heart.

She's completely horrendous. She looked way better (and healthier) when she had a little meat on her and no tattoos. Hate to fill you tattoo lovers in on this secret but....nobody likes your excessive tattoos except for you. They don't make you look pretty or macho, rather sloppy and mentally unstable. I'm sure some people don't care what others think, and a lot of people get tattoos just to show the rest of society they don't care. I got a tattoo on my back but would never go out like Winehouse. Too much of anything is a bad thing.
I think Amy is gorgeous. Her tattoos are something I envy, and find absolutly beautiful. I also have an odd addiction to tattoos and have a pin-up girl. So to find a celeb that has a love for the same thing makes me feel better about myself. And for the guy at the bottom of the page, Tom, you are very rude. Who ever said you were the one who gets to decide what is excessive, sloppy, or mentally unstable? Have you ever asked someone who has alot of tattoos why they get them? Im sure if you did then you would find out they dont do it to look macho, pretty perhaps, but most of them would tell you Im sure that they do it for more than to be a rebel. I say Amy should do what she wants, considering she is one of the greatest female artists of today. We need more of them, and if she wants to be tattooed and scared more power to her.

I think that Amy Winehouse could use a little more meat on her bones, but if she wants to look like that then it's her perogative. As for her tattoos? I think they rock. The simple fact that she has the guts to get what she wants, wether it be a tattoo or career decision, only proves that she LIVES life. She is a beautiful woman and an amazing artist.

It is an addiction but it expresses how some people are and i admire that fact that this woman throws back in its face what 'society' believes people should look like and act like. I say get it girl. And for all the people that think its trashy, you have no courage and your pathetic.
her eyeliner isnt tattooed on, if you look in pictures its diffrent everytime! & even smuged in the fight picture!
I heard about Amy not very long ago and I think she is the best; the top comment I must make is that some days ago my husband bought one of her DVD´s and I saw she is got my name tattoed on her right arm... I never felt closer to her, hahaha! Silly but it was very funny.

tattoos aren't about looking fabulous for other people. you are supposed to get tattoos for you. tattoos are a way to express thoughts, feelings, values, or even obsessions. it's not about looking hardcore or beautiful or macho. it's about loving what your own skin looks like.
so, why don't you go get the tattoo on your back removed if you think tattoos are so hideous--because i'm sure that there are people out there that think the same thing about your tattoo on your back.

if it's any bigger than a tramp stamp (or if it's some lane chinese character for strength or another word that EVERYONE in your frame of mind has tattooed somewhere) then you don't deserve to be talking shit about someone that gets their tattoos for the REAL reason.

it isnt unusual to feel as if youre addicted to tattoos. many people i know feel exactly the same way. i certainly feel like that too! i have 6 tattoos so far as 17 piercings and i'm craving to get many more!!!
