NEW YORK - Stephen Colbert's screaming eagle has landed him his mentor, Fox's Bill O'Reilly, the blustery pundit self described "traditionalist independent," who was the avatar for Colbert's own persona for Comedy Central. Next week, the two will tango on each other's shows January 18th.

The no-spin zoner who Colbert refers to as "papa bear" and Stephen no doubt will trade their branded bon mots and patented words, the most recent being Stephen's "factiness" revealed after his Christmas holiday.
"I'm really looking forward to speaking to a man who owes his entire career to me," O'Reilly said to CNN.
On "The Colbert Report," Colbert portrays a self-absorbed "truthiness" slinger and talk-show host who festoons his set with larger than life portraits of himself, and surrounds himself with awards and Americana props. Colbert has made waves with his "Better Know A District" segment where like Sacha Baron Cohen's Ali G and Borat creations, Colbert has caught congressman off guard thinking they were being interviewed by a serious journalist.
"Truthiness" is another Colbert concoction.
Colbert opined to CNN: "I look forward to the evening," Colbert said. "It is an honor to speak face-to-face with a broadcasting legend, and I feel the same way about Mr. O'Reilly."
