Blackwell's 47th annual 'Worst Dressed' list

No surprises from the feisty little man who has been critiquing celebrities forever, Mr. Blackwell, a one time actor and now fashion critic, is best known for his annual "ten worst-dressed women of the year" awards. Blackwell has given these awards every year since 1960. Mariah Carey - No. 5

Blackwell's sharpest words were left for Camilla Parker-Bowles, who finished No. 2 on the list."The Duchess of Dowdy strikes again," wrote Blackwell. "In feathered hats that were once the rage, she resembles a petrified parakeet from the Jurassic age. A royal wreck." Whoa. At unlucky No. 3 spot was the remarkable healer, actress Lindsay Lohan, taken to task by Blackwell for turning "from adorable to deplorable."Platinum locked Christina Aguilera was also in Blackwell's ick list. He called her a "dazzling singer" but added that she "puts good taste through the wardrobe wringer. All crass and no class."Blackwell then called Mariah Carey as "Mariah the fashion pariah ... the queen of catastrophic kitsch," and "American Idol" judge Paula Abdul as "a fallen fashion idol."Sharon Stone felt his wrath too. Stone resembles "an over-the-hill Cruella DeVille," and Tori Spelling embodies "down and out in Beverly Hills." Zing pow boom."Grey's Anatomy" star Sandra Oh was faulted for too many accessories. "She's layered lunacy from head to toe," Blackwell said.Unimaginably, classic Meryl Streep, who starred as the perfectly styled Miranda Priestly in "The Devil Wears Prada," came in at No. 10 on the naughty list."From Streep you could weep," Blackwell said. "Her beauty of a career cannot be denied, but that beast of a wardrobe is pure mother of the bride."Now, for some good news.Kind words and tip of the hat to the 10 "fabulous fashion independents" according to Blackwell - actresses Kate Winslet, Angelina Jolie and Helen Mirren, singers Barbra Streisand and Beyonce, Politician Nancy Pelosi, Princess Charlotte of Monaco, model Heidi Klum and actresses Katie Holmes and Marcia Cross.
