I hate to sound old fashioned, but..... I will never pay for radio as long as it is free. Not to mention I have had friends with satellite radio and they say how great it is so I tried theirs and I don't see much difference than regular other than usually less commercials.

Perhaps you were listening to the retarded red-headed step-cousin of SIRIUS, a pathetic little outfit called XM? Yes, perhaps.

Sprintracer4: Good for Howard...Jan 7th, 2007 - 22:24:03

Since when do DJ's have anything useful to say? Those dicks Mark and Brian, who dance around sex for 5 hours a day. What a waste. I had to give up 5 hours of the best Rock in the US for those dildos.

Personally, good riddance to Howard. Talk radio is the bane of those who want real music. Satellite is perfect for those boneheads who want to listen to an empty shirt like Stern.

Tech is going to change radio, just like everything else. I can program an IPOD better than the radio station can.

I can remember back in the 70's when my parents said 'How ridiculous it is to pay for this thing called cable, when you can get T.V. for free'. Obviously they were in the dark. Look at the average household today. Does anyone have an Ariel antenna anymore? Satelite radio is no different. Once Sirrius buys out XM and given a few more years it will be the main stream source of entertainment in your vehicle and home. Fm radio is the new Am and Am is as needed as a CB radio...

Howard Stern's channel on Sirius.

O + A are cheap Stern Ripoff'sJan 8th, 2007 - 05:50:26

I listen to tons of radio. Opie and his side kick Anthony are nothing but cheap Howard Stern ripoff's. They are horrible, unlistenable. They imitate whatever Stern does. Stern had a film festival, now they are going to hae one. Come on O+A get an original act!!!!! Losers!

The Stern show is better than ever. Plus they replay each day's show all day. Terrestrial radio sucks.

O&A are terrible, they came here to Pittsburgh radio about 6 months ago. These two aren't that good if XM let them do two thirds of their show on terrestrial radio. From what little I heard O&A are Howard Stern clones or wannabes.... less ANY intelligence. They are a very juvenile bunch. Some of their fans call them boys but the funny thing is Anthony is only 8 years younger than Howard Stern. Radio has gotten so bad here in Pittsburgh I went and got Sirius Satellite radio 6 months ago and haven't looked back. By the way, the Stern show is better than ever.

I have XM and Sirius, and I have to say O&A are pathetic. What a waste of a channel. I would rather have them(XM) use it for another music channel.

Just like cable TV reinvented television, so it will be with satellite radio. The person who left the comment to this article that they didn't hear a difference between satellite and terrestrial radio, except for the lack of commercials on satellite, must not have listened very closely. Satellite radio plays all kinds of music that you will never hear on regular radio.Blues, Rock, Jazz, Bluegrass, you name it. And not just the same 'hit' songs over and over Add in uncensored comedy, sports (including NFL games and NASCAR on Sirius), politics, coast to coast traffic and weather and you have an unbeatable product that blows away regular radio. I have an Ipod full of music that I've already heard but still listen to satellite radio everyday to hear new stuff.

For Stern fans, his show is better than ever and repeats all day long. So if you miss some of it in the morning you can catch it later. They also frequently rerun classic Stern shows from the past which are now even funnier because they're uncensored.Stern has two channels of 24 hour a day hilarious content.

The radio industry commentator in the article who said Stern is 'off the radar' is either lying to protect regular radio or a moron. Howard Stern is still such a commanding force in the industry that terrestrial radio made their entire 'Free FM' advertising campaign because of his switch to Sirius satellite radio! Interviews from Stern's satellite show are quoted on other radio and TV shows on almost a weekly basis. Face it folks, whether you like him or not, Howard Stern is at the top of his game and he's bringing satellite radio with him. Sirius had about 600,000 subscribers when Stern signed his contract and now after only one year on the air Sirius has 6 million subscribers! Satellite radio is clearly superior to regular radio in exactly the same way that cable TV is far superior to old time 'rabbit ears' TV with only a handful of censored choices.

Satellite is hear to stay. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

O& A? PleaseJan 8th, 2007 - 20:14:24

Their act is so boring. Nothing original, and no real interviews. Sure the boobs are fun, but how great is it to get Martha Stewart to admit she uses a $1400 sex toy? Come on, every celeb that goes on Stern loves the show, and Stern know how to get them going....O&A, they really cant compare, I saw them on leno....they always have to bring up Stern, and try and figure out what he 'isnt doing' other than talking about stern they really had nothing to say. no interesting stories...nothing. LONG LIVE THE KING OF ALLL MEDIA

O & A is completely worthless tripe. Howard is a genius and a true original. Satellite radio, in general, is an awesome product. Commercial free music (on Sirius, anyway) 24x7 with tons of different channels spanning multiple genres is just awesome. Throw in uncensored Howard, NFL, Nascar, etc., and it's a no brainer. Period.
