De Niro reluctant to sign Jolie

I had the good fortune to view 'The Good Shepherd' last weekend. Run don't walk to see the film, it will keep you on the edge of your seat and keep you guising. It is the type of movie that can be seen two or three times.

While the performances by Matt Damon, Robert de Niro, Alec Baldwin, Joe Pesci and John Tuturo were excellent, I can only give Angelina Jolie a rating of fair. Despite all the hype and media frenzy surrounding her, she is a rather mediocre actress when stretched beyond her capabilities. She can easily play the vamp,the seductress, all these tools are in within her grasp. However the ability to go deep within herself and to play a wounded, closeted women is beyond her.

The other women leads in the movie Tammy Blanchard and Martina Gedeck are excellent stellar actresses. As a matter of fact, Tammy Blanchard would have been a much better choice to play Clover Wilson. Unfortunately, she does not have the box office appeal of the over-rated Ms. Jolie.

I disagree anglina did an excellent job. She played her part both as clover a young girl which is so wild and later as became margeret a wonded woman so hurt by the circumstacnes in her life. Eventhough I belive both of the other woman plays their part excellent. Angie has to be this two differnet woman and non of them I thing can able to carry.

I think angelina did a fine job on playing clover a wild girl who turns to be margaret who wonded by circumstances in her life. She is rated as she deserve which is a great actress.
