Richard Gere has had a table named after him at a hip new Indian restaurant in New York.
West 54th Street's Nirvana 54 has named its most hidden and romantic table after the 'Pretty Woman' actor because, when a bachelor, Gere was a regular at their original restaurant, and would dine with a different woman almost every night.
Owner Shamsher Wadud told the New York Post newspaper: "Richard was regular at the old Nirvana near Central Park.
"He would show up with two women and request a secluded table where they would enjoy a romantic time together. One week he came at least five times, mostly with different women.
"Richard would drink only champagne with the Indian food and always paid his tab in cash."
