Dita Von Teese to divorce Marilyn Manson

Dita Von Teese has filed for divorce from Marilyn Manson.

The goth rocker - real name Brian Warner - will be served with divorce papers on Friday (05.01.07) at the Los Angeles recording studio where he is working on his latest album.

Teese - who has been with Manson for seven years and married to him for a year - moved out of the marital home and filed for divorce before Christmas, citing irreconcilable differences.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "She really tried to make this work but he's not been responsive. She loved him so much, but he has too many demons. He can't even communicate with her at this point. She tried to tell him she was divorcing him, but she can't even get him on the phone. She moved out of the house and he hasn't even noticed."

Estée Lauder president John Demsey, for whom Teese works as the face of MAC makeup, said: "We're really sad to hear this. Dita has been the most extraordinary MAC spokeswoman. She's the ultimate professional - a glamor girl like there used to be in the 30s and 40s."

A friend of the sexy burlesque dancer and Playboy model joked: "Well, at least now she won't have to share her make-up."

The couple - who were married in a gothic-style ceremony at an Irish castle in 2005 - have two cats, Lily and Aleister, and two dachshunds, Greta and Eva.
