Lohan rings in 2007 with appendectomy

Actress Lindsay Lohan has undergone an operation to remove her appendix. Publicist Leslie Sloane Zelnik told various media outlets Lindsay was not feeling well and went to her doctor yesterday. Lindsay was suffering from appendicitis. TMZ reported that doctors "asked her to return to the hospital today to remove her appendix as a precaution.""She is having her appendix removed," Leslie Sloane Zelnik, Lohan's publicist, told ABCnews.com. "That's all I will confirm."Zelnik would not divulge any details on the whereabouts Lohan was being treated, or if she expected the actress to "miss any commitments."The "Mean Girls" star has taken pole-dancing lessons to prepare for a role as a stripper in the upcoming film "I Know Who Killed Me" shooting in New York.
