Tiger Woods: Birthday present is baby on the way

One of Golf's youngest sultan of swing, Tiger Woods, had an awesome 31st birthday on Saturday when he announced to the press he and his wife are expecting their first born child.
“Obviously, we couldn’t be happier and our families are thrilled,” Woods said on his Web site. “I have always wanted to be a dad. I just wish my father could be around to share the experience.”
Woods married Swedish au pair Elin Nordegren in October, 2004. Woods has said did not specify which month in the summer the baby is due, although some speculate it would happen between the U.S. Open and British Open.
Woods elaborated on his immediate plans: “I’m going to stick close to home for the next few weeks,” he said.
Woods will start his ’07 season in the Buick Invitational at the end of January, “which will allow Elin and I to spend more time with our families during this very special time in our lives.”

Congratulations to Tiger and his wife. I hope that the little one will be healthy and as well-adjusted to life as Tiger appears to be!
