Nicolas Cage has revealed he waited 25 years to work with director Oliver Stone.
The Oscar-winning actor - who stars in Stone's 9/11 drama 'World Trade Center' - says he was desperate to work with the legendary filmmaker and was willing to wait years for it to finally happen.
He said: "I'd been waiting to work with Oliver Stone for the last 25 years. He is excellent - he has an aura of excellence in his movies. I know when I see an Oliver Stone movie that I will see good acting and a stimulating subject matter."
The 'Leaving Las Vegas' actor says he also admires Stone's ability to make exciting films without using excessive violence.
He said: "What's amazing about Oliver is that he makes movies without resorting to gratuitous violence - like 'World Trade Center' - he always chooses themes that are interesting."
