Britney Spears web site closing drama unfolds

The recent announcement that the World of Britney fan site having to close has spurred a blog bitch fight between Perez Hilton and web master Ruben Garay. 

PerezHilton.com posts it "has learned that the aforementioned Britney fansite webmaster was forced to closed down his own website and, in a pathetic attempt late last month, he emailed someone in Spears' camp, attempting to get them to help 'save' the fansite.  PerezHilton.com has obtained that email:"

Hey XXXXXXXXXXX,
I've got some pretty bad news. When I shut down WoB back in 2002, I sold the rights to the domain name to a business man in Asia, who since then has had me update and work on the site and keep making it my own after I returned 3 months later (long story). Either way, he's selling his business and entertainment network sites to a bigger company for over $3 million and WoB is going to be included in that deal. I asked him what was going to be done with it and he said "nothing" because the new buyer was not even interested in WoB. I asked him what could be done for me to be able to keep the website and transfer 100% ownership to me and he told me I would have to buy it off from him for $50,000 or best offer. So , unless that happens, it is with 100% certainty that WoB will be lost when the sale goes live in January of 2007. Do you have any thoughts? Would you or Britney be interested in buying it off for me? I have begged and pleaded with him to let me keep it, but it won't happen unless it's bought off. Get back to me please.

The site right now is generating over $5000 in ad profits per month, so I'm sure that in less than a year, we could make that money back.

The-deli.org got in the fray, stating the two unsavory players in this verbal sparring online, Garay and Hilton, were not telling whole truths.  "Turns out Larry Rudolph, Britney's manager, seems to have forwarded the email to PerezHilton in return for good press for Britney, according to Garay."

Garay responded by posting this alleged transcribed exchange he had with Rudolph about Britney after she stood up two fans who won a fan competition to meet her, posted online by the-deli.org:

Ruben G: the party was a disaster, she bailed out on the contest winners, they didn’t get to meet her, she just left. They had flown here to LA all the way from Ohio on a maxed out credit card, Britney’s excuse came in later today saying that she felt it was ‘Kevin’s night’ and that she wanted it to be about him.  

LRudolph: shocker!  

Ruben G: dude, it was such a slap in the face..made me look like a complete moron.  The inconsideration of this girl is just beyond my scope or reasoning.

LRudolph: dude…that girl doesn’t give a sh*t about anybody but herself…she doesn’t care who she dissapoints or who she pisses off…least of all her fans…trust me!...I know, it’s a shame 

Ruben G: they said that they’ll get a chance to meet her on one of ‘her events’ in the future. But like, lol…..how is that gonna be like ‘Hi, yeah, we’re the fans you gave the finger to last time we tried to meet you, anyway, nice to meet you !’ 

LRudolph: lol! dude…welcome to my nightmare…well my old nighmare anyway. thank god i’m free of that sh*t…used to deal with sh*t like that every day  

Ruben G: well, what did she have to say when she was called on it?

LRudolph: oh, and dont quote me on any of this please

LRudolph: she’s say ‘I don’t give a sh*t’…in her country accent

Ruben G: so, releasing an album to the world and going on tour infront of thousands is just a huge ego trip? treating fans as millions instead of individuals?

LRudolph: its all about her dude…that sweet southern girl thing is total bullsh*t  

The-deli.org blog masters summed up their opinion of the exchanges and commentary by catagorizing it as a "bitter bitchfight between two unsavory famewhores who no one likes, Perez and Ruben, two complete idiots who piggyback off the famous for their own personal gain."
