George Clooney was intimidated by the prospect of working with Cate Blanchett.
The 'Ocean's Thirteen' actor - who stars opposite Blanchett in Steven Soderbergh's black and white wartime drama 'The Good German' - was scared to work with her because she is so talented.
He said: "She is the best actor working today. She is not an actress, she's an actor. It was intimidating, in a way, to work with her. She is so good."
Clooney is also convinced Blanchett, who plays an American journalist lured into a murder mystery, deserves an Oscar for her performance.
He said: "I will tell you right now - she will win the Oscar."
Clooney recently admitted he prefers working behind the camera these days.
He said: "Directing is the key to filmmaking. Everything else is just paint as far as I'm concerned."
