Michael Douglas' action age
Dec 29, 2006, 8:00 GMT
Michael Douglas says he is getting too old for action films.
The 'Fatal Attraction' actor, who starred alongside '24' actor Keifer Sutherland and 'Desperate Housewives' beauty Eva Longoria in 'The Sentinel', has revealed he couldn't keep up with his co-stars when they filmed their fast-paced scenes.
Douglas, 62, said: "I had a bad knee and a pulled hamstring so it was tough physically and actually quite humiliating.
"In one scene Kiefer takes off running and I go after him. I said to him, 'You're pretty fast'.
"Then later I'm running again and Eva passes me in high heels and I'm, like, 'How can she run in those heels?' "
The Oscar winning actor has now taken time off from work to look after his two children, six-year-old Dylan and three-year-old Cerys, while wife Catherine Zeta-Jones is away from home working on her new film.
