Sylvester Stallone has said filming the sixth Rocky movie was more painful than making the first five films combined.
The 60-year-old actor - who stars in 'Rocky Balboa' the latest chapter of the boxing legends life - revealed he suffered more injuries than ever before while making the new film.
Stallone told US People magazine: "This one was injury-prone. The joints wear down and you get inflammations of things that you didn't even know existed. It became about living with conditions because nothing was going away. Every day was an Advil day. In all five Rocky movies put together I didn't have this many injuries."
The 'Rambo' star considers the latest film to be even more gritty than its predecessors as the fight scenes were largely improvised with unanticipated physical consequences.
He said: "In the other Rocky's it was all kaboom-kapow-kaboom. There was a lot of contact in this one because I wanted it to be very realistic. We didn't choreograph the fight scene, so we ended up having the ragged edges, those awkward moments that make it real. I broke my foot. I had a bulging disk in my neck. I shredded a calf muscle. It was so bad it had to be put in a cast."

I wanta know what cut drugs he was taking. ripped a 60 doesn't just happen. I dont care how strick your diet is. then looking all puffy on monday night football a couple months later. Ok. You were clean.
I grew up watching his movies, I like him as an actor, but I agree 100% that he is doping. He probably did 2-3 cycles of steroids, so he would look good for the movie and now he looks like he could go on Weight Watchers, that's what happens to people who dope.
I saw the film. It was outstanding and had more to do with life than with boxing. Sly capped off the 'Rocky' series with a most gifted script, tremendous sentimentality and of course, excitement. Congrats to Mr. Stallone for not making anything even remotely close to anything pretentious, hoakey and corny.
'Rocky Balboa' is the ral deal and not to be missed.
Are there many more great movie then he can make? Why have to be rocky 1,2,3,...10
I congradulate Sylvester Stallone for a commending career. I know how tough it is for the training of boxing in general. I started at age of 23 and trained til 33 years of age. Now at age 49 I still try to maintain my abilities, as difficult as it is. As long as your mind stays in what you like I say GO FOR IT!

'Waaaaaa! I broke my foot in a movie that has made more than 31 mil already!' That's so sad, Mr. Italian Stallion. But, you know what? You could break both my legs for that kind of mulah, sir.
