Post surgery, Arnold Schwarzenegger is on the mend

Home with his family and by his trusty doctors, the Austrian ex actor, bodybuilder and now California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is recovering nicely after undergoing surgery Tuesday at a Los Angeles hospital to repair a broken leg he suffered while skiing in Sun Valley, Idaho. Arnold Schwarzenegger is an avid skier REUTERS/Rose Prouser/Files"Following the surgery, the governor was awake, alert and talking in the recovery room," orthopedic surgeon Dr. Kevin Erhart said in a press statement. "He is now fully coherent and I have cleared him to resume his duties as governor." It was a combination of cables and screws used to "wire the two main fragments of the governor's broken femur bone back together." The "relatively common" procedure lasted about an hour and a half, and the post-op X-rays "look great." Said his doctor.Erhart has treated Schwarzenegger before, after a freak accident on set while filming Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines in 2003. Schwarzenegger, 59, is under orders to stay in the hospital for three days and it will take near eight weeks for his right leg to heal, during which the popular Governor will need crutches, Erhart said, and the good news for Schwarzenegger-no cast. The injury won't keep the Governor from his second term swearing in ceremony on Jan. 5th.Ski instructor Adi Erber told the Los Angeles Times that Schwarzenegger was about to take on the last 200 yards of a run when his ski pole got caught in one of his skis. Erber, a fellow Austrian who was with Schwarzenegger when he fell, said. "He was trying to take off again and he tripped." The two had been skiing for about two hours before it happened."I've skied with him for 18 years," Erber also cited it was a freak accident. "He's an expert skier." Reported the Los Angeles Times.

Hey dummy, if you read any information about the Governor you would know that he does not receive a salary or medical benefits from the State of California. Get a life.
