Pete Doherty says The Clash's Mick Jones is his guardian angel. The Babyshambles singer revealed Jones gives him advice about life and helped him with his drug addiction. Doherty said: "He just tells me straight. Like with the drug thing. He's like, 'You're really a slave to it, aren't you?'
"In a way, I'm always working with Mick Jones. I feel like he's watching over me all the time."
The 27-year-old fiancé of supermodel Kate Moss also said he discusses everything with his musical pal, from history and wars to balloons and old football players. The hell-raiser rocker is battling an addiction to heroin and crack cocaine. Jones produced The Libertines' debut album and Babyshambles' first record with Doherty.
