Arnold is the first Republican that I have ever voted for. He is a 'progressive' Republican (an oxymoron?), who is making a difference in California. I think eating the Humble Pie after his special election helped to make him focus on being the governor rather that the speaker for 'the people.' And thank god he listens to Maria!
He's a Libertarian RepublicanDec 25th, 2006 - 20:46:53
Arnold is hardly a Left-wing 'Progressive' Republican. He's a big fan of Free Market economic Milton Friedman. He comes from the Austrian School of Economics, which supports less taxes and less government expenditures.
He is 'Fiscally conservative/Socially tolerant.' Which makes him a Libertarian Republican. Not radical Libertarian like the US Libertarian Party, but rather a libertarian within the GOP.
