Mickey Rooney's giant font

Hollywood legend Mickey Rooney is so short-sighted he had to have giant scripts printed for his latest film. The 86-year-old, who plays an old night watchman in new family film 'Night At The Museum', had trouble reading his lines.Director Shawn Levy told BANG Showbiz: "When Mickey turned up to audition he had had the script printed in large font so he could read it and the page was almost as big as he was!"Levy said he would shout new lines to Rooney rather than waste paper printing out another giant script.Levy laughed: "If we changed a line during filming to save on time, and on trees, I just shouted the new line at him and he'd shout it back at me while we filmed."It was lucky he isn't deaf too!"(C) BANG Media International
