Jessica Simpson yanks 'Dolly' tribute performance

It's been a tough year for Jessica Simson all the way around.
Recently Simpson flubbed and fled from the stage at the Kennedy Center Honors while performing the song "9 to 5" in honor of her idol, Dolly Parton.
Her ex husband Nick Lachey seems to be lucky in love, and has landed on his feet with Vanessa Minillo.
In her Shreveport, La. production of featue film "Blonde Ambition" there is talk of it going straight to DVD, a bad sign, and the crew has made comments to the media about Simpson's inabilty to pull off her scripted lines.
Now Simpson has pulled out of a taped tribute to Dolly Parton after she was unhappy with her second attempt to perform Parton's hit song 9 to 5.
She recorded it a second time, but was still unhappy and asked for it to be removed from the tape.
"She really wasn't happy with her performance," said Simpson's new publicist Cindi Berger, who reps Rosie O'Donnell and Sharon Stone.
"She did want it to be perfect for Dolly, who she idolizes," she added.
"We appreciate the time and energy Ms Simpson put into this event and respect the high standards she has for herself and that of the Kennedy Center Honors," said the producer, George Stevens Jr.
The annual event honored theatre producer Andrew Lloyd Webber, conductor and musical director Zubin Mehta, singer Dolly Parton and Smokey Robinson and film-maker Steven Spielberg.

If Jessica would have been a wife instead of 'Daddy's' money machine - things might have been different.
Girl the girl a break, didn't you read the article above, she's having a ruff year, everone does, but not evryone has all the fame she has, so your simple mistakes are not splashed all over the internet and tabloids.
She is a nutjob...and it was the smartest thing Nick did--to just give Jess her original wish and bolt for a better life, which he obviously has now. Nick was a big reason she had the confidence to do the things she did, she threw it away, and now she--and her idiotic family--is paying for it. There is no excuse for the lack of concentration she's continually exhibiting, other than the fact that there might really not be much talent left in the tank. If you remember right, the only real songs that made it big off her last album were covers from other artists. And it's an insult to think she's another Dolly Parton...you've gotta be kidding!
Nick lachey has no talent. That is why she makes the cash. When your marriages fail you won't have half the strength she has. You guys are just jealous because you are probably ugly and make minimum wage!
Jessica looks good, period. When she opens her mouth all doubt is removed about talent. She should get a gig modeling and leave entertainment to others.
