Currently and conveniently "out of the country," chief doyenne of "The View," Barbara Walters, a dutiful friend of Donald Trump, and desk mate and boss to Rosie O'Donnell, released a statement to CNN in attempts to extricate herself from the bloody Holiday battle of Gotham City's two biggest mouths, Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump.
"Donald Trump is a personal friend of mine and has been a good friend to 'The View' for many years," said Walters via a rep for the show. "I'm sorry there is friction between Donald and Rosie."
"That said, I do not regret for one moment my choice to hire Rosie O'Donnell as the moderator of 'The View.' I certainly hope and expect that this tempest will pass quickly."
Trump had brought Walters into the fracas during a live interview on "Good Day LA," saying that "Barbara cannot stand Rosie."
"I am going to enjoy taking money out of her fat ass." Said Trump about O'Donnell.

Rosie is an embarrassment to the show.
Rosie is right - Trump is one butt ugly and arrogant creep who should be wearing a rug on his head to cover up that travesty - it would be an improvement. Money can buy you a lot of things, however, class isn't one of them.
As for Baba Wawa, her let's sweep everything under the rug comment is typical. Maybe Baba should fire Rosie and hire Trumpy - they both seem to deserve eachother along with the other a-holes on the American media/celebrity scene that kiss Trump's ugly ass.

Rosie is an embarrassment to the show.
But much more importantly, the show is an embarassment to any person with an ounce of brain or self-respect.
Rosie needs to learn to keep her big mouth Shut !! Trump may not have great 'morals' but neither does Rosie !! She should be concerned with herself, mind her own business and keep quiet !!
Rosie has put a sparkle in The View. It is a hoot to watch. And I seriously doubt, Stu dear, that even 8% of The View's audience would vote to get rid of her. If you yourself don't like the view, don't look at it. Oh yeah, don't think for a second that Trump isn't lapping this up. He loves publicity. He surely knows he can't prevail in a lawsuit for saying the truth on him. But he is fanning the flames to keep his face in the news.
Trump calling Rosie fat over and over - he sounds like a playground kid taunting someone. She obviously touched a nerve to get him so hot and bothered about all of this.
I'm 100% on her side. And I used to like him.
First of all, I was disappointed in Trumps decision to look past the blatant bad choices of Miss USA. I would have preferred he removed he from her position and then offer to pay for her to go to rehab. As it is, he is teaching her the lesson that beautiful people can get away with almost anything...without any real consequences.
But Rosie, holy crap! Let's be honest, the View has become the defacto new 'Rosie show'. It no longer functions as it once did. You may like it better or you may not...but I would argue that 'the View' ceases to exist. I'd prefer if they just change the name to more accurately reflect the content. How about 'Rosie's View'.
Rosie really sucks... She is a comedian and can make fun of people, but let someone make fun of her or something she cares about then it is all not funny. SCREW
I love Rosie, before she came on the show The View was pretty boring - now I watch it all the time, she has livened up the show for sure! Even the other presenters are more lively and interesting now. Go Rosie - you must have hit a raw nerve somewhere for all his carry on!!!!!
I love it!
Donald Trump is a man who knows how to promote Donald Trump. That’s not a crime. You may not like him, but you have to admire him. The man knows how the game is played.
“Forgiving” his errant beauty queen not only casts him as the hero, battling those “evil pageant officials” (which he owns completely), it’s already gotten publicity for the pageant, and yet another week of headlines featuring his name.
Now fat-ass Rosacea, in what is inarguably the worst possible timing imaginable, jumps on him in his moment of chivalry, spewing outright lies on national television, and expects to survive?!?
In several interviews, Trump keeps calling her “fat” and “ugly”. Well that’s a given. McDunghill is NASTY! She has to be a lesbian; no self respecting male would have her.
As for Walters, don’t worry about her. She and The Donald both know the publicity is good for The View’s ratings. Rotted Rotund irRedeemable gRossie won’t lose her job, either. They’ll have to play out the contract, although they could probably come up with some special “man-on-the-street” type assignments.
“Holy Memories of Leona Helmsley, Batman; It’s a Turf War!” Let’s all just sit back and watch the show. After all, it’s only being performed because we’re watching.
Rosie IS an embarrassment. She is immature and needs therapy and it is really a shame to put her on The View with women who have a little more together than her. If Rosie feels the need to speculate and judge everyone around her as she has of late, then just maybe she is truly the one with issues.
As for Trump, she is in no position to judge.
Let's face it, Donald Trump is butt ugly and it's amazing to me that he doesn't realize it. You would think with all the money that he has, he could get someone to do something about that horrible hair. I don't know why he's so pissed off...all he has to do is look in the mirror.
Maybe someone should point out the obvious here. Rosie didn't have to buy her girlfriend like Donald has had to do. Rosie is in love for all the right reasons and Donald is in love with his wife's chest which coincidentally he purchased for her. I recall a fight similar to this one and it happened when I was in 3rd grade cause someone called me a poopy head. I'm so glad that there are so many positive influences for the youth of America to look up to.
Miss USA is a whore crackhead.
Peg obviously has a head full of Lesbo fat.
Lesbo fat doesn’t want to remember the
fat slob has tirades against guns but still hires
armed thugs.
are there not enough things in this world than to worry about miss usa being her age and acting her age. and what rehab does she need than to just let her grow up. rosie and donald need to keep both their mugs out of the lime light, who cares about this oh i don't know what to call it but all i know is these celebraties are not acting like someone i want to watch in the news unless they save the world or something. yes you celebraties make a lot of money but ya know fame does not last long if you make your fans unhappy. then you have no fans and no big checks. mrs. d. bianco
Rosie is not stupid. I think that she hit a very raw nerve that made Donald blurt out that was going to sue. Both have plenty of money for lawyers to help sort out the truth. I personal can't stand Donald Trump. He's plenty generous when the cameras are there, or when it will get him some publicity. Rosie has many great causes that she is passionate about, that also get put in print, but not for her own egotistical greed or gain. I watch 'The View' now everyday. It is funnier and they are not so afraid to discuss real hot topics. I do believe this is mostly because of Rosie. Everyone is funnier. I do have to say that it would have been just as funny if Rosie would have learned how to speak a couple of phrases in Chinese when she made fun about the hoopla about Danny DeVito without offending sensitive people.
Trump represents all that the world dislikes in many americans;brash, conceded, no class know it alls. If only most Americans had the brains to see how silly the world sees them. Only in America could a war be launched with bold faced lies resulting in the murders of thousands yet the idiots vote Bush back in. Wake up, the Nazi's thought they were the greatest race on earth now the USA is dealing with the same dillusional thinking that brought Hitler to power. Save Iraq and bring back Saddam- hang Bush.
Anyone who wants So-Damn-Insane back in power is an idiot! I have personally met and gotten to know a number of the families who managed to escape his regime. Without exception, these families (mostly the men talked, not the women) told EXACTLY the same stories about murders, kidnappings and forced rapes by Saddam and his thuggies.
For them America was their only grasp for freedom. Many of them have successfully relocated to other parts of the world (where the standards aren’t so high).
I remember one couple, Chia and Pissan, especially well, because they were so pleasant and hopeful in spite of everything they and their three children had been through. In Iraq, he was an engineer and she was a teacher. Here he could only work as a grocery clerk and she couldn’t find work at all.
Not to sound egotistical (which I’m sure some liberal dipstick will claim anyway) we have a different level of functioning here. I don’t appreciate being compared to Nazis when I remind anyone listening that we are the soul remaining super power in the world. Something must be working here.
We are Americans! When the Europeans decry our brashness, I need only reply that we are your children. We come from a hundred different nations where we didn’t “fit in”, and created a home where anyone can. We are not aliens; we are you, but with the constipating limitations of self-recrimination or of “caring what someone else thinks” chucked in the crapper, where it so rightly belongs.
In what other nation could a Donald Trump OR a Rosie O’Donald continue to exist?
And yes, ANY one CAN fit in. We don’t have racial issues. We have Cultural differences. If race was actually important here, no minority would ever succeed. But that is not the case. We can hold up countless examples of minorities of every description who have succeeded exceptionally and eloquently.
The ones who don’t make it (and there are plenty of White Anglo-Saxon Protestants who aren’t making it either) without exception it is because they have shunned the Culture that makes this country function.
This isn’t rocket science. If I want to bake a cake like someone else has, I must perform the steps he performed. If I want to create an automobile like someone else has, I must do what he did. And if I want to build a personal fortune like any of the TENS OF THOUSANDS of millionaires already in this country, guess what?
And to head off the predictable old Simon LeGree arguments, let me remind that MOST well-to-do people are NOT slum lords or porn kings or drug dealers. We put those people in jail here. Most of the wealthy in this country have gotten there by being personally accountable for whatever-it-is that falls into their hands, by working long hours, and by taking responsibility for people who may not themselves be responsible.
Trump is where he is because of his work ethic. Rosie is where she is because, well, I don’t really know; I guess because somebody who HAD done the work thought she was funny on some occasion in the distant past.
And Kevin: Doesn’t your keyboard have an F7 key? Americans is capitalized, you need a space after a semi-colon, and “conceited” is spelled with a “T”. And that’s just the first line. Standards, man, standards!
right on rosie. donald trump is so arrogant. i thought miss usa was supposed to be a role model. get rid of her and take 'the donald', too.
the view is so much better now with rosie and i was not a big fan of hers before but she definately adds to the show.

Barbara Walters is in a tough spot. If she could only undo the hiring of Rosie, which had to be done in haste, I'm sure she would. Why she chose Rosie, we will never know. Rosie is certainly not any role model. She dominates the procedings with her loud and brash 'charm', and her demeanor is frightening, to say the least. I think that a deal should be made to buy her out. If Walters would like to take a survey of her audience, I would bet at least 80 percent of viewers would opt for getting rid of O'Donnell. As for Trump, this man is a Nothing with Money. Who would listen to him if it weren't for his dollar-influence? His self-centered persona fits right in with the Paris' and Brittany's of the world. He should take a lesson from Bill Gates and put his money where it can do some good for other than 'The Donald'.
