Trump spares Conner, Miss USA victim of Big Apple allure

In a CNN live interview with a tearful Tara Conner at his side, Donald Trump blamed the lure and "whirlwind" of New York for corrupting the small town Kentucky girl. Citing the fact he believed Tara was a "good person" Trump gave the weeping Conner, accompanied on stage with him, a second chance to retain the title. REUTERS/Mario AnzuoniTrump made his statement and had the microphone taken away from Tara when she became animated and a bit giddy after tearfully thanking God, her family and Mr. Trump for giving her another chance, and believing in her. As she spoke, Tara perked up and rattled on about accompanying a bunch of mothers with some "disabled kids" or "at risk" kids to a spa and her lack of pretenses because she shopped at "Tar-get."As she became more confident and cheerful, she answered a reporter's question whether she thought she was an alcoholic which she vehemently denied and said "I don't think I am an alcoholic, that's pushing the envelope" and went on to qualify it with "anytime people give you free anything" and "let's talk about therapy..." Her stilted, extemporaneous comments spurred the accompanying woman on stage with her from the Miss Universe organization to abruptly yank the mic away from Conner, and speak for her.Trump fnished the press conference with short, terse answers and reiterated Conner had an excellent opportunity to teach and show by example her willingness to enter rehab, and become the "greatest comeback kid," or else, face the unforgiving wrath of Trump.

NYC city 'corrupted' her? She did that do herself. Underage drinking and cocaine use are choices she made. She should resign from Miss USA and clean her act up in rehab.
