The transgressions of youth may come back to haunt Mel Gibson, who already has had an eventful year. A woman has come forward and claims to be his daughter. EPA/CORTESIA Mel Gibson's battling new revelations from Carmel Sloane, who says her mum became pregnant by him 30 years ago, before he hit stardom. Britain's News of the World reports that Mel got her mum, Marilyn, pregnant, when he was a young actor back in Australia. News of the World ran the photo of Carmel and her son, Jordan, who looks just like Mel."I'm not doing it for his money," Carmel said to News of the World. "I just want to meet the man I've always known was my dad - and for him to get to know his grandson."Allegedly the News reports Mel picked up 17-year-old Marilyn, in her words, a looker "in tight jeans," who was hitching a ride from Adelaide to Sydney in 1976.In bodice ripping, romantic novel style, Marilyn recounted her initial Mel encounter to News of the World: "Mel turned to look at me with those amazing blue eyes and I was mesmerized. He said, 'Where are you going?' I said, 'A long way from here.'"He told me his name was Mel. He said he would take me all the way but first he had to go home and get some [gas] money."He made me hide under a blanket in the back of the car, saying something about his mother being in town. We stopped outside a house and he came out with a mattress and a couple of pillows and some [gas] money."He said he had brought the mattress in case we had to stop for the night. We got on really well. He was charming and funny. He told me he was going to be a famous movie star."He said he was going to change his name but I told him not to. I said Mel Gibson was a really nice name and it suited him."When we stopped for the night Mel got in the back on the mattress but I stayed in the front. I said I didn't trust him but to be honest I didn't trust myself either! He was so sexy. I didn't have any contraceptives with me and I hadn't had much to do with guys."Eventually he persuaded me to join him in the back. I told him, 'If anything happens and I get pregnant I'll come looking for you.' He replied, 'I am going to be famous. You will always know where to find me.'The rest of the story needs no more brush strokes, the net result from the one passionate night with Mel was, according to Marilyn, Carmel.The News of the World reports that Carmel is allegedly taking legal measures for Mel to have a paternity test, but says money is not her motivation for finding out the truth."I'm not doing it for his money. I just want to meet the man I've always known was my dad - and for him to get to know his grandson ... I'm not looking for a meal ticket. I am happy with my life. I would love to meet him but I wouldn't expect to be part of his life ... I would like him to know he has a grandson who is a great kid. He is very bright and creative. He would be proud of him." Carmel opined to the News of the World.

Hey Mel! Outfox the foxes and take the paternity test on your own hook, before this goes any further. Then, be the good sport you are known for about whichever way it turns out. Hah! That will show the world what you are made of.
