Matthew McConaughey's sexy appreciation
By Stone Martindale Dec 16, 2006, 22:41 GMT
In the latest Entertainment Weekly, Matthew McConaughey talks about his attempts to stretch from romantic comedy guy to serious actor, and has some thoughts on his sexiness factor and how he keeps it in perspective:
''I like sexy people, and I think being yourself is sexy. Being yourself and being as good a man as I can be is sexy. My face is considered handsome. My body is considered well put together. For me not to appreciate that would be way out of line. It doesn't mean that I'm not anything else.''
His latest film released, We Are Marshall, is based on a true story and shows the struggle of a community to rebuild itself after a jet carrying the local university football team crashes killing everyone on board.
McConaughey is a loyal friend and has praise for his ex girl Penelope Cruz and her performance in "Volver." He also has praise for his cycling pal Lance Armstrong, noting he is a great friend and inspiration.
"He's a great man. You look for people or ideas who are inspiring and he definitely is," Matthew says to ANI.
