Golly, Didnt Carrey and Nicholas Cage use to prank-call scientology and ask to get striaght to the Xenu stuff? maybe J-Lo got a heads-up about just how racist Scientology is steeped in by way of its Tenets at http://solitarytrees.net/racism/racism.htm maybe more and more people have read what Hubbard said about controlling people.'THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN CONTROL PEOPLE IS TO LIE TO THEM. You can write that down in your book in great big letters. The only way you can control anybody is to lie to them.'
- L. Ron Hubbard, 'Off the Time Track,' lecture of June 1952, excerpted in JOURNAL OF SCIENTOLOGY issue 18-G, reprinted in TECHNICAL VOLUMES OF DIANETICS & SCIENTOLOGY, vol. 1, p. 418
I get a kick out of how every time there is a naysayer, the commentary is always soaked in sarcasm. If you have no substance the your best bet is a smart mouth - fools 'em every time(?). Space ship beliefs? Xenu? Yada, yada,
yada! I've been a Scientologist for 23 years and don't know any 'converts';
A convert is someone who repudiates a former belief to take on a new one.
I personally haven't done that. I do believe in whatever I can experience
as real, and that's often (but not always) a subjective experience. But
despite the spin machine and internet slugfest Scientology is alive and
well. Who cares about J Lo and Jim Carey or what they're curious about?
Next thing you know you'll be telling us about a race that went from
Kitty Hawk to the Moon in one generation and has a space station in
orbit! How absurd! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!
Isn't it funny how a Scientologist of 23 years comes to a story about Scientology and then laughs off the Xenu story?
Intergalactic warlord Xenu is a part of OT3 course materials in Scientology, so either Masterson (related to Danny and Chris I presume?) is not a high-level Scientologist or he has already heard Hubbard's nonsensical lies about how Xenu blew up billions of space aliens inside of volcanoes and that Scientologists can pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to audit the Body Thetans (and BT Clusters) out of their body on their way up the Bridge to Total Freedom.
But wacked out beliefs are not why the Church of Scientology is bad. The Church is bad because it abuses people. It practices Fair Game and dead agenting. It lies as a matter of course, as they did when they moved to Florida and claimed to be the 'United Churches of Florida'. Their leadership was tossed in jail for theft at IRS offices. Countless other stories of abuse documented at http://www.Xenu.net and other places.

Well lets just hope that niether of these celebrities are getting involved with scientology. No one should be, Scientology is a cult that is little more than a thinly veiled organized crime syndicate. They have practiced fraud, harassment, breaking and entering and physical assault against their critics. Several Scientologist, including L. Ron Hubbard’s wife, were jailed as a result of breaking into government offices and Scientology has been linked to several suicide and wrongful deaths.
They hide their true intent behind a confusing web of organizations and copyrights. Their only goal is to recruit more people to the cult in order to generate more revenue.
These are cold hard facts.
I've been in Scientology for 10 years and it's helped me a lot. Scientology really works. It can help with depression, drug addiction, stress, etc. Very powerful and workable technology.
I have to laugh at these people who bash Scientologists. I am so thankful that we have the basic human right to believe as we choose. So sad for these bigots, they can no longer do lynchings, public executions or torture those who do not believe as they say. The only place they have to go now to effect their hatred and discrimination is on these boards. There is absolutely nothing they can do to stop us from practicing our religion.
As a Jewish Scientologist of 30 years, one of the things that I value most about my religion is one of its most basic tenets that what is true for me is what is true for me, that no one has the right to force information on me and command me to believe it.
