Michael Jackson tried to stop David Gest from appearing on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here'.
Gest - who is close friends with the 'You Are Not Alone' singer - says Michael tried to talk him out of going into the Australian jungle because he thought he would be unpopular with viewers.
Gest told Grazia magazine: "Michael didn't want me to do the show. He thought everyone would hate me."
The 53-year-old music mogul - the estranged husband of Liza Minnelli - has also revealed he wanted to have sex with fellow contestant former newsreader Jan Leeming in the jungle.
He added: "I totally would have had sex with her on a one-night-stand basis if she'd been up for it. I'm a man, what do you expect?"
