Angelina Jolie feeds insects to adopted son Maddox.
The actress and her lover Brad Pitt decided to treat the five-year-old to a dish of crunchy crickets during a recent trip to Maddox's native Cambodia.
She revealed: "I recently took Mad to Cambodia and it was the first trip there where he really understood it.
"We took him to a restaurant in the middle of the night and he had his first plate of crickets."
The insects - which are rich in protein - are a traditional dish in the Southeast Asian country.
Angelina is also said to love cockroaches and bee larvae and has been searching for recipes so she can serve them up at home.
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old has confessed for the first time that she fell for Brad while he was still married.
Angelina and Brad grew close during filming 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith', although Angelina insists there was no romance until Brad, 42, split from his wife Jennifer Aniston in 2005.
She revealed to America's Vogue magazine: "We ended up being brought together to do all these crazy things, and I think we found this strange, friendship and partnership that kind of just suddenly happened."

Angelina is the person, woman, mom and wife for Brad.
That's just nasty!
It may sound disgusting to North Americans, but like the article states, crickets are a traditional dish in Cambodia and is chock full of protein. People from different cultures in the world eat different things; the Scots eat haggis (stuffed sheep intestine), the Chinese eat duck tongues and chicken feet, and the Japanese eat raw fish. Try to be more tolerant of other cultures. I'm sure the rest of the world finds American fast food and meatloaf disgusting too.
Angelina is made of the same mold as Mia Farrow. She professes to love her man, when in fact it is only her children that she cares about - and whe he can do for them. Brad needs to have a long talk with Woody Allen to see what his future will be like.

Bmused that was FUNNY, well said! But True! I was thinking the same thing. Actually Brad & Angelina shouldn't be eating bugs people who BLOG NASTY RUDE remarks on Brangelina & family should! Crickets & Snails anyone? Good heavens it's no big deal. People from many different parts of the world eat bugs as treats etc.
Why don't some of you people on here go watch The National Geographic channel & learn something!! When you travel to many parts of the world as Brangelina or anyone does, you gain perspective & a respect for different cultures!Therefore you try new things - yeah eating bugs is sometimes one of them....who cares.
For those concerned, a few glasses of water will flush all foods out your system in a few hours!

I couldn't believe the nasty comments this blog received. Good heavens, people. So she was open minded and tried a different kind of food from a different part of the world. It's no big deal. Put your criticism to good use somewhere else and leave Ms. Jolie and her lifestyle choices alone.
