Jennifer Lopez and Jim Carrey attended Tom Cruise's wedding because they have converted to Scientology, it has been claimed.
Many people were surprised to see J.Lo and Carrey at the marriage between Cruise and Katie Holmes in Italy, but it has been suggested they are linked by the Church of Scientology.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Jim is taking the introductory and beginner's courses in Scientology right now.
"J.Lo is a close friend of Scientologist Leah Rimini. She has started using Scientology phrases and explains the church to people. Leah has always talked to Jennifer about the church without pressuring her.
"Scientology appeals to J.Lo, because in the early stages, it is a lot of self-help."
Lopez, 37, has reportedly turned to Scientology in a bid to improve her chances of getting pregnant, but her singer husband Marc Anthony is said to be furious with her decision.
Anthony is a devout Catholic and has slammed the bizarre sci-fi cult - which believes in alien life forms.
A representative for J.Lo has denied she has become a Scientologist, saying, "I have no knowledge of this, but I probably wouldn't have a comment on it if I did."
Carrey's representative has also refuted the claims, insisting: "He is not taking Scientology classes."

This is sad. I hope someone close to them intervenes. Maybe JLo's hubby will be her 'saving grace'. Why has this cult been allowed to get this far?
Her Dad is a Scientologist, I saw him at the center before I got smart. Sorry, can not believe that aliens are our Saviour and when I found out that L Ron Hubbard mysteriously died after finding out he was being investigated for tax fraud. Gee, a 'non-profit' church that avoids taxes.
How dare you say someone should be smacked for believing as they choose! You have no right to deny anyone their freedom of belief. The intolerance of this article is disgusting and you should be sued.
This is getting ridiculous. Is the press willing to make-up anything for headlines? Well, it was only last week when the media chirped 'J.Lo to Renew Vows after Wowed by TomKat Spectacle'. So far, they've been dead wrong about numerous claims. Some examples: 1. that Jennifer Lopez's marriage to Marc Anthony wouldn't last 3 months, then 6 months, then they wouldn't reach their first anniversary -- Truth: they're very happy, have known each other a long time, and they'll be married 3 years come June 5, 2007. The gamblers have lost a chunk of change, lol. 2. Jen was supposed to be pregnant numerous times since 2004: before their wedding, then numerous times since -- Truth: Again no. She doesn't want to be hounded either. Let her be.
Haven't the tabloids made enough money with her on their cover? The public needs to get tough: don't buy this stuff if you don't approve of the lies or tactics. For the rest who believe nearly everything because somebody printed it: first get your facts straight, and challenge nonsense when you read or hear it. These fake stories hurt and worry the celeb's family members the most, something they don't deserve.

This is all make-believe.
You already have statements from both celebrities saying the story isn't true. Why are you running it then?
