Paris Hilton has defended her new friend Britney Spears' recent behavior.
The hotel heiress has taken Britney out partying several times since she filed for divorce from Kevin Federline, but insists the 'Toxic' singer's wild antics doesn't make her a bad mother.
Paris, 25, wrote on her MySpace web page: "Britney loves her kids to death, and I know for a fact that it truly hurts her when she sees these cruel things being written about her. She goes home every night to her babies and partying has not come in the way of her parenting."
'The Simple Life' star insists the people who have criticised Britney for going out and having a good time should be ashamed, and has appealed to them to be kind to the 25-year-old star.
Paris said: "For people to call out her parenting skills on behalf of her partying ethics is appalling. Anyone who has called her out on this should really be ashamed.
"She's young, and if she wants to go out and have some fun, let her. Just because she does these things does not mean she doesn't care about her children.
"There are thousands of mothers out there who like to go out and have a good time. But, you do not see people out there calling them 'bad parents'.
"For the sake of Britney and her kids, be kind."
Over the last three weeks Britney - who is mother to three-month-old Jayden James and 15-month-old Sean Preston - has frequently been seen leaving Los Angeles nightclubs in the early hours of the morning.
On four occasions she was photographed wearing short skirts and no underwear.

With the millions that Britney has, I'm sure she made sure her children were being well taken care of. And I believe that the lady had the right to let off some steam and go nut once in awhile. I am sure there are 30-40 Yr. old mothers out there that get crazy like that. Why should it be so different for Britney. Leave her alone and let her have fun.This is America.Pursue your happiness Britney!

Well, you know. Britney doesn't really have the greatest track record with her kids. Weither its using them as portable air bags or having them 'Laura Wilkinson' off of high chairs, Britney needs to try a little harder at the parenting game. Get some help and stay away from Paris... look what happened to Lohan and Richie. PEACE!
i am a mother of 2 and try to have fun. i have a husband that is very understanding and tries to let me go out every once in awhile. let britney be a mother and enjoy what life she has. she is just starting out. every mother needs a break from their children.

I know that Britney Spears has a whole world of judgement on her right now, but its all her fault. She brought this upon herself. If britney wouldn't go out all night, and party until three a.m with Miss Party Princess aka Paris Hilton...then nobody would have a reason to state rude comments about britney. Which it is a true fact that Britney is an unfit mother. When her boys grow up and find out that their mother was almost dropping them on their heads, getting drunk, and flashing crotch shots...what are they going to think of their mother? I dont know about any one else, but I would be embarrassed to know that my mother would do something like that! When you become a mother, you don't put 'having fun' before your kids...you put your kids before anything in the world! Thats just common sense. The only kind of person that would select 'fun' as their nunber one priority, is an unfit parent, and that is exactly what Britney is.

What does Paris know about being a parent? Although she makes a good point about other, non-celebrity mothers who go out and party but they are not bad parents. Britney should realize that because of who she is, people are going to call her out on her behavior......Duh, it's the price you pay for being famous.
