Jenna Jameson legally separates

Jenna Jameson has filed for legal separation from her husband.

The adult movie star, who was married to fellow porn actor Jay Grdina for three-and-a-half years, filed the court papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court yesterday (11.12.06), citing "irreconcilable differences".

The legal separation comes months after Jenna - whose real surname is Massoli - became romantically involved with mixed martial-arts fighter Tito Ortiz.

Jenna's spokeswoman has confirmed the pair have been dating for several months.

Jenna and Jay - who performs under the name Justin Sterling - have been estranged since July of this year, according to the papers.

A legal separation involves the division of finances and assets but the couple remain formally married. They have no children together.

Jenna, 31, is reported to have made a fortune after founding the multimedia adult-entertainment business Club Jenna which she sold to Playboy.

Forbes magazine reported that Club Jenna turned over more than $30 million last year.

She also has a film production business, a video library, a DVD retail distribution outlet and a network of websites.

Jenna, widely considered to be the world's most industrious adult movie star, has more than 20 adult industry awards to her name.

Her films include 'I Love Lesbians', 'Private Parts' and 'Wicked Weapon'.
