Cameron Diaz's snow joy
Dec 8, 2006, 13:40 GMT

Cameron Diaz and Jude Law (L) pose for photographers during a photocall to promote the movie \'The Holiday\' in Hamburg December 8, 2006. Ed Kushins says he can\'t guarantee a date with Diaz or Law but he can promise you will live like they do -- in the movies, anyway. Kushins founded HomeExchange.com where members list their homes to swap with other individuals for vacations, and his site is featured in new movie \'The Holiday.\' REUTERS/Christian Charisius
Cameron Diaz loved playing in fake snow while shooting her new movie 'The Holiday'.
The actress was delighted when she found out she would be filming a number of scenes in the 'snow' for the festive movie, and was even happier when she discovered it was biodegradable.
Cameron told BANG Showbiz: "I was so pleased, we had non-toxic, biodegradable snow on the set. I couldn't tell it wasn't real and I love the snow, I spend a lot of time with snow."
However, the expensive environmentally friendly flakes proved useless in the end - when they came to shoot the outdoor scene, in England, it had been snowing for three days anyway.
Cameron said: "The crew said to me, 'This never happens, it never snows in England', and I was like, 'Oh sure, I can see that'. The stuff was pouring from the sky and it was freezing! We were outside the entire day!"
