Tom Cruise's post-wedding party
Dec 7, 2006, 12:30 GMT
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are hosting a post-wedding party in Los Angeles on Saturday (09.12.06).
The couple - who returned from their honeymoon in the Maldives a week ago - are throwing the cocktail party for friends who were not invited to their nuptials.
Cruise's representative Arnold Robinson said yesterday (06.12.06): "The party is for friends who were not able to attend the wedding in Italy."
The bash will be held at the home of Tom's producing partner Paula Wagner and her partner Rick Nicita, who is the 'Top Gun's star's agent.
Cruise, 44, and Holmes, 27, were married on November 18 at a castle in Bracciano, Italy, near Rome.
Since returning from their honeymoon, Katie has met up with close friend Victoria Beckham.
The actress took seven-month-old daughter Suri to the Sunset Marquis Hotel and Villas on December 4 to meet the former Spice Girl who has been house-hunting in the area.
A friend said: "They talked about how great the wedding was."

“In writing an adventure story a writer has to know that he is adventuring for a lot of people who cannot. The writer has to take them here and there about the globe and show them excitement and love and realism.” L. Ron Hubbard
Ron Hubbard made his living writing fiction books. He was good at it.
I do not believe he wrote 'Dianetics' to found a new religion. However in
the cases of Jim Jones, David Koresh, Smith, whats his name, (mormans) and other cult leaders, there are always people that are willing to follow the leader that appears to have what they need. In the case of Hubbard I think he was the 'founder' of a new religion whether he wanted to be or not.
I think it is quite revealing that Hubbard made his living in fiction, entertainment and fantasy, and Tom C. also makes his living in fiction, entertainment and fantasy. The difference between the two is that Tom C.
really belives the story! Tom was in need of spiritual directon when Hubbard came along. Of course he is still a dumba-- for not knowing better.

Funny thing how things go. If TomKat did not make their wedding known to people they would get lambasted for keeping it out of the public eye just like with the new baby pics they go so much flack for not showing them, but when they do let people know about it they get crap for that also -- what’s up with that.
Yeah, really!!! What IS up with that? It's like the media is out to destroy them or something. If they say anything about their personal life then they're jerks, and if they keep quiet about it then they're jerks. I really think they just ticked off a few bigots because they dared say anything about their religious beliefs, and those people are now out to get them.
Plus, having met several journalists myself, I've found most of them to be quite shady and viciously irresponsible to begin with.
Perhaps we could all agree that most religions seem odd to us except our own. When I was growing up we thought Catholics were a strange lot with all that latin and incense. Equally, my pals could not comprehend Christian Science. Point is, almost anyone who broaches the subject of their religion lets themself open to ridicule. I think most of us like John Travolta who is also a Scientologist. It ain't my bag but to each his or her own. We can 't throw him off the raft -Tom that is-just because we can't understand what this Scientology is all about.

Tom Cruise has milked a couple of million dollars worth of free publicity out of his antics over the last couple of years. Too bad because I for one will not be buying or watching anything he is in. I have never been so sick of a man and his church. He truely needs some kind of mental health therapy.
