Katie Holmes' wedding dress was so detailed it took 350 hours just to sew on the crystals.
The 'Batman Begins' actress, who married Tom Cruise in Italy last month, wore a tailor-made Armani gown which took a team of seamstresses hours to make.
Designer Giorgio Armani told Grazia magazine: "It took over 350 hours just to sew on the embroidered Swarovski crystals and beading that covered the entire dress. It was all done by hand.
"The veil alone required 70 hours of work with 100 metres of crinoline and 30 metres of tulle!"
Armani also admitted he had to convince the groom to wear a traditional tuxedo on his big day.
The designer explained: "For Tom, I designed a dark, handmade-to-measure tuxedo, so the fit and shape was perfect. But he preferred a non-traditional tux. In America they use a tuxedo, but in Italy the suit is used more often. In the end he wore a normal white shirt - not a tuxedo shirt - and changed for the reception into a darker suit."
